I'm already making plans for my wife's 50th. She's always wanted to spend a week just lying on a tropical beach somewhere.

Right now, I'm leaning toward Cancun. Any suggestions/recommendations???

Morning Bernie and friends. You talking to yourself this morning, OK? Too bad you can't be at WDW in August or January when we will be there. You should stay in a 2 bedroom DVC unit! At $10 a point, it is a good deal. Only trouble is the time you are traveling is a busy DVC time because points are low then.

Sharon's birthday is in September, but we'd probably be taking the trip some other time. I don't think I want to go during spring break, so it will likely be in December.

I've no clue yet about what the Caribbean weather, and Cancun's specifically, might be during that time of year and what the high and low seasons are there.

I've been poking around some of the all-inclusives to see what they might offer. I'm thinking they might work out to be a better value overall....

I see my pants beat me here! Today's answer jumped right out at me! It was a real wake up call. That doesn't happen often!

I like Cacun because you can also go to the ruins. I am afraid I would NOT do well on a vacation where all there was to do was lie on a beach. I have to DO something! I have a friend who goes to Grand Caymen all the time just to beach and snorkle. She always tells me I would hate it! There is NOTHING to do there!

Good morning everyone! I am having second thoughts about the PM I just sent, so I'll see what happens before I send another one.

Bernie, moving right along into softball season? You are a man on the go! DH asked me yesterday if we had anything to do on Sunday afternoon. Translation - he has a softball game that day.

Looks like a cooler and rainy day today. I hope it warms up for DD's First Communion on Sunday, or she will be very cold in her sleeveless dress.

Just got back from a trip to the world with just me and my two kids! What a stress free, wonderful trip!!!

Are you a beach sitter too, Bernie? If not, you should find somewhere you can golf or something too. As I said in my earlier post, I have to have something to do or see. I think that is why we go to WDW so often. That reminds me that I have to make Circue du Soliel ressies today for our August trip. I asked DS what he wanted for his birthday, and he thought CDS was a good suggestion. Since his SO has a birthday a few days after we return from WDW, I think they will both get that as a B-day gift!

Good Morning Everyone!

Congrats on the trip to WDW Bernie~ How cool for you!

DH is on a roll today......this morning he said to me....I have an idea for your birthday (you all may remember we were going to try to sneak away to WDW for a couple of days...then that became a girls weekend away) ANYHOO.....he said..."LET'S GO ON A SHORT DISNEY CRUISE WITH THE KIDS IN AUGUST!!!!!"

I looked at him and said "what about WDW in Oct???" He said...we'll still do that...but we'll go on a quick cruise in August before the kids go back to school.....

Now the wheels are turning...I don't know anything about a Disney cruise.....and I'm thinking I may want to push the WDW trip futher back (see, toldja I'd be goin in November....maybe even December now....you didn't rent all those cabins yet did you ok??)

Well, that's my story for the morning. I still need pants, so I"m going back to look at the riddle. Rain here for the next 4 days....Bernie keep that nasty white stuff to yourself!!!!

Laura - Our old softball team didn't get together this year, so I'm playing on a different team. One of the guys at work knew a guy who ran a team and was looking for a pitcher and a second baseman (I pitch, my buddy plays 2nd). My buddy was on vacation lat week (at DISNEY!!!) and missed hearing about all the practices - so I never heard about them either. AND - he can't make the game tonight! So, I'm going to be joining up with a team where I don't know anybody!! We're playing at a big complex too - 8 fields. I hope I can find them!!!

I do hope the weather forecast improves for Sunday!!!

Oh! That reminds me - I have to read Julie's trip reports from her bus trip!!

Morning Riddle Buds!

Another rainy day here too.....but I CAN'T complain....Sunday was a so beautiful! The city was a little tiring yesterday as I covered MOST of it (the city) visiting 5 of our locations....lots of in and out of subways and taxis - but - other than being a bit worn today, a worthwhile visit!

I'm glad the B'day celebration at WDW worked out for you OK! I can't think of a much BETTER way than THAT to celebrate!!!

I think I have this one (at least an answer that makes sense to ME) so my PM's on the way! Have a good one all!

Diane - I need to get up and moving. That's one of the reasons I'm leaning towards an all-inclusive. I'd go broke renting stuff to keep me busy! I'd also like to take the trip over to Chichen Itza and see the ruins! Sharon is very content to bake in the sun, read a book, dodge little umbrellas in her drinks all day.

Stephanie! Wowza - GOOD FOR YOU!!! I've never been on a Disney Cruise (or any cruise for that matter) - but I know you'll get plenty of helpful advice on the boards!
