Oh! Big news on the home front! My DW may have a new job!

She currently works part-time as a dental hygienist for a very wonderful Doc in a great practice. She'd like to get more hours there, but they just don't have the customers to support brining here on full-time.

She answered an ad in the paper a couple of weeks ago and interviewed last week. Long story short - she was offered the job yesterday!

This job offers the same pay she's getting at her current job PLUS benefits!

She'll also get to keep working at her current job, as the new place doesn't need her on Thursdays - one of the days she works there.

With my job situation the way it is (constant layoffs) - we're very relieved to have this to fall back on!

It will be interesting to see how it effects our already hectic schedule though!

Good snowy day, my friends. We got a dump of snow today. I think that my teens will be pushing me out to the highway, where hopefully the road will be plowed! pm sent. Have a happy- and SAFE- day! Gee, I wish I were with my baby (almost 9) today. SHE'S at the CBR with her aunt!

That's great news, Bernie. I'm sure it will work out just fine.

Alot of the hygenists around here work in more than one office.....even those that work in busy offices. I've asked why and I usually find out that they enjoy working with different people, different doctors and in different atmospheres. Best wishes to your wife in her new endeavor!

Congratulations to your DW Bernie.....DH works for the State and they are talking about layoffs, BOY am I glad we're getting a BIG refund this year....think we'll bank most of it.....just to be safe!!!!

They're rattling sabres big time in the pharmaceutical industry and in my DH's firm.
