Good morning OK and the Corral

Can't stay long, have a routine doctor's appt. at 8:30.

After a couple of guesses, I got this one. And the pants beat me here.

They are called for snow tonight into tomorrow. Possible snow day Friday???

The "Snowball", or winter dance, is at the high school this weekend. DD is going, DS is not. I told DD I would make a nice dinner for her and her date and 2 other couples. Serve it in the dining room on the good plates. I have my work cut out for me. What do you think I should wear as waitress??

She wanted to go Cosmic Bowling after the dance and then to a co-ed sleep-over. I said OK to the bowling but DH and I nixed the sleep-over. Do any of you have experience with this type of event?? I don't see how it is necessary. And, by state law, none of these kids can drive after midnight so we will have to provide her a ride.

Morning riddlers, these have been stumpers recently, and I have just had to pass themover in the am.

My weekend - I am going to the Train to End Stroke kickoff meeting. Another charitible cause, a 1/2 walking marathon. I know I can do 13 miles, I know I can't do 26. I am looking forward to getting my fund raising goal and start training. I had a stroke at 22, so I know we need to prevent them. DH has 2 side jobs to install on Sat (carpet) and then the usual, groceries, pool maintenance, mow the front lawn, we lead a boring life.

We do a large pot-luck supper for B&G, and then we will do the cake auction, and finally our entertainment this year is the OA dance team.

All in good fun..but it better be over by 7:30.....LOL...there is a race on!!!!!!

Soccer news! We won again last night. The team we played was called Men In Black - turns out they are all soccer refs!!!! LOL! We've all played in games they've ref'd. Ya know what too? They play DIRTY!!! LOL! LOL! It was nice to beat 'em!

I was able to have coed sleepovers when I was in highschool. Ok so It was my 2 best friends and I one male and one female. The girls slept upstairs in the room across from my parents and he slept downstairs. It work fine and nothing happened.

I forgot to say what my weekend plans are. Truthfully I am not sure. There is a meet in NE Ohio I might go to and there is something for church at night I might go to. So I am not sure I can do both (meet is about 2 hours away) and I am not sure I want to do either I just feel like being lazy this weekend.

The co-ed sleep over caught my eye. I am not joking, I have very very strict parents but I was allowed to three different co-ed sleep overs. Two were for New Year's. None of our parents wants us driving home so we all just stayed the night. We hardly slept anyway and for both, the guy I was dating at the time was there, but the guys always had one room by the parents bedroom and the girls slept in the living room. The other one was for Prom my senior year... again we didn't sleep much at all. And I can tell you the honest truth on this... NOTHING BAD HAPPENED!!! Mostly because we were all around and no one wanted to do anything "stupid" in front of others. Granted this was about 8 or 9 years ago though and all parents were there and watching us from time to time (our parents knew and trusted each other). For anything other than prom or New Years though I was expected home at 2. Others would stay the night, but for something like that I was not allowed out the whole night. I guess it wasn't deemed "special" enough. So there's my take on it. Oh and I was 17 & 18 by the time I was allowed to do this if that matters.
