Weekend.....weekend....weekend.....hmmmm......basketball game, swim practice.....birthday party.....yep....that sums it up....

Oh, you wanted to know what I was doing!!!! Being the mommy chauffeur, of course!!!!

Well, I don't know WHICH chore I will do this weekend! I know I have to do some clean up out at the house and have to help DH put in some of the outlets. He does all the electrical, but this time it is a little more difficult and time consuming, since we have to chisel out logs to put them in! I also need to go look at kitchen appliances and make some definative choices on flooring. It will be a long time before we are actually ready for that stuff, but decisions have to be made now.

Good morning!

I'm grumpy today because it's going to snow in NY tomorrow. I know it's February but it hasn't really snowed in quite a while...couldn't it hold off until Sunday??? I'm not worried about our getting there but walking around will not be pleasant.

Also, we have the potential for more here and my mom will be picking up my kids in the afternoon. She's 80 but in wonderful health and drives well but I still don't like her out in the snow.

There, I'm done whining.

Gina - let's not link up your son with mine....he sounds just like yours....but since he's 11 he's bigger he knows more gross jokes and his body sounds are louder!

Bernie, I expect my son to grow out of the potty humor stage somewhere around the year 2060. I figure by then senility will have set in for one of us.....and the other won't care!

Gail, not to worry about the weather. NY and NYers have a strange way of dealing with it....they ignore it and it goes away!

The skating show rehearsals will be going on, along with the regular lessons. I'll be working one of the spotlights at this year's show again, so I'll be in there with them once the show comes together. One really neat thing happened at last year's show. Erin had this lovely glide in her program....arms extended, facing the crowd, huge smile on her face....and it happened right in front of my spotlight. Talk about a proud Daddy moment!

Soccer too.

One special thing this weekend - I'm going to me making a presentation to Katie's girl scout troop! We're doing a careers days - the local Pizza Hut is going to give us a tour (and free pizzas) and then we're heading out for the careers day. I've put together a little quiz on the computer all about exotic animals. Should be a lot of fun!

My weekend isn't too full for once! DS has a Science Olympiad invitational competition on Saturday but DH & I can't go so he's going along with another family. DH has to work, DD will be at a party so I have to stay home with the little one.
Sunday morning there is a 6am hockey practice DH & I hate these but DS doesn't seem to mind them. Any time he can skate is alright with him....he loves it so much!
