Gail..I watched it on Channel 5 too....had to move the "rotor" just right to get that in NH.

I think I'm too old for Romper Room too!

I do remember Captain Kangaroo and a local show called The Magic Toyshop from my childhood.

Anyone remember the old Tom Terrific cartoons on Captain Kangaroo?? With his wonder dog, Manfred...:)

Diane - I searched high and low for one on a commode, couldn't find it!!! LOL!! :p

Captain Kangaroo scared me.....lol....

Bernie..in case you're taking inventory...my favorite flowers are tulips...

LOL, Bernie, HOW DID I KNOW THAT?!?!? I liked the Tom Terrific cartoons too! I was a little old for that too, but I loved Captain Kangaroo! It was still on when my kids were young, so I got to watch it again!:p

Pay no attention to that man behind the curtain....

Morning Riddle Meister and Fellow Riddlers!

Boy you guys are flying along here!

Sad weekend around. You all are right about reflection time.

I had a nice time on Saturday for my brunch. My brother, SIL and niece came up for a visit! She's 15 months old now and she remembers us all! My SIL does a very good job of showing her pictures of us and prompting her to say our names (she doesn't say them yet, but she points to the right people! She's such a happy baby and we had a ball.

My SIL said, would you watch the baby and I'll clean up? What a tough choice :p

Oh and AMID, I made the peach french toast---a huge hit! Thank you so much for the recipe!

Have a great day all!

WOW!! I didn't realize the Romper Room reference would generate such EXCITEMENT!!! Miss Louise never saw me either....but I DID get to see her once....an appearance at a local 5 & 10 in Brooklyn when I was a wee one!!!

Maybe we can start a NEW thread - SNSMNORM - She Never Said My Name On Romper Room!

It got me ready for my next trauma though...Carole and Paula never mentioned me in the garden either

:(

Wonderama??? Kinds are people too - wacka doo wacka doo wacka doo!!!

I was REAL little when viewing the "captain" but I have fond memories of Mr Green Jeans!!!

Later all! Glad the clue helped!!!

Well, the plow is here doing the driveway, so It is time for me to get out there and shovel so I can get out of the garage! Have a great day folks!

Miss Jean never saw me either - sigh!!!

I loved Tom Terrific on Captain Kangaroo.....as well as the Teddy Bears Picnic and the changing of the guard at Buckingham Palace. Who remembers Bunny Rabbit and the ping pong balls that used to fall on their heads....and the huge turkey they'd have for their Thanksgiving show? Was it Mr. Greenjeans who'd cook it??

Good Morning Riddlers!!

Slept in and now I'm running late! What happened to my internal alarm this morning? Must be because it's Monday.:D
Pm sent.

LOL!! I remember the ping pong balls Gail!!

2 kids gone & 1 more to wake up now.................:D I'll check back in a little bit............

Loved Captain Kangeroo!

Loved Romper Room!

But REALLY loved Sonny Fox!

Anybody an old Johnny Quest fan??? I could watch that cartoon for hours....still can...it's on one of the networks!

Morning all! Running a little late today because of some tiny computer problems I had this morning at work.

I think Challenger hit me more personally as a kid because our teacher was in the top 10 or 20 to be chosen so Christa and a few others from the space program came and gave a presentation to our school. We all watched the lift off from class. Saturday's took a while to sink in... I kept hoping and then I saw the videos... it was like someone punched me in the gut. I was about to head out and I just sat and watched for an hour in tears...

Bernie, sounds like a busy but great weekend for you all. Congrats to Erin on her skating!!! I also can't wait to see the pics from the dance. Congrats to Katie and her soccer team too!!!

Mickey, I hope that Lucy will be okay!

Gina, thanks so much for that clue about Snow White... really helped me big time!!

Diane, I love CoP too (and of course Mickey's sig) Last time I was there I treated that ride like it was the last time I would get on it. I took tons of pictures. Most of them came out great! Maybe sometime I will post them.

Well I had a good day yesterday. After really really wanting a laptop for many many years, I finally got one! It was totally unexpected, but there was a good deal and 12 months same as cash just sped up the buying process for me. So instead of saving for it, I can now pay it off over the 12 months :) So I am thrilled and wishing I could be at home playing with it!

Gotta run... have a great day all!

Gina,
LOL
Billy and I both watched Johnny Quest when we were little.
Also liked Topcat.
