MILL BAY SEASONS
by Alison McKerrow
Mill Bay in Springtime is all sunshine and showers,
But there's plenty to keep us contented,
As the trees spread their shelter for birds and for flowers
Wild lilies, white trilliums and violets sweet scented.
Mill Bay in Summer is like peaches and cream
Because of her sunshiney pleasure;
There's boating and hiking and picnics to dream
With fun days and friendships full measure.
Mill Bay in Autumn is all blue and gold
When the sea sparkles coolly and bright;
The maple leaves tumble as yellow turns old,
And moonbeams bedazzle the night.
But winter - ah! winter - out west in Mill Bay
Is not nearly as cold as you'd think,
And with Christmas our festively special big day,
It'll be spring once again in a blink!</center>
