Well... while many of you are sweltering... we had our first FREEZING temperatures last night. Yes, it got down to 32 degrees. My tomatoes are goners I am sure. I had some fresh last night - and it may have been my farewell tomato meal.

Oh well. At least it waited until October to have a cold snap hit.


You do realize what this means don't you? I no longer can ignore putting the vegetable garden to bed for the winter. I was hoping to ignore it until November. My excuse being that it was still going.

I need another excuse now.
