Yes, our DS had a difficult time right at the end of High school. He went to a private school to avoid some of the "problems", but in his senior year, his best friend hung himself in one of the classrooms over the lunch hour. A teach found him and took him down and started recussitation. He called out the door for help. As it turned out, Ryan was the one who answered the call. They did CPR until the ambulance arrived, but there was too much brain damage, and a few days later they turned off the machines. It was a very traumatic time for our son. It has taken a HUGE toll on his life. I am so glad he is trying to get back into the stream of things. He is planning to take architectural drafting as a 4 year program from Herzing College here in Minneapolis.
