Last year when we were there, DH and I thought the entrance to the Winnie the Pooh ride in Critter Country smelled like cat pee. I don't know if it was the plants or what, but there was a strong odor - exactly like cat pee.

I actually think that is the shrub they use. The American Boxwood shrub can totally smell like cat urine, especially when wet. I've noticed them all over CA.

The place I always notice the sewer smell is close to the restrooms in the front by City Hall. There is nothing quite like getting hit in the face by that smell as soon as you walk into the parks. A real shame they can't control that. The last thing they want a newbie to associate with DLR is the smell of sewer. So note to newcomers- enter under the bridge on the right, not the left.

Well of course critter country is going to smell like kitty pee, after all, it is critter country. At least they know their territory.
