Hmmm....bikers.....orderly........well, yeah, I guess they are....if anything.....they are just loud!! It used to be (and my age and prejudices are showing) that the Hell's Angels and their rival gangs all hit town for motorcycle weekend and parents locked up their teenage daughters....but now, it's really not that bad....I actually think this year is the first year they DID NOT post signs on the highway leading to my house that said "NO CAMPING ON SIDE OF ROAD" our town actually had to create an ordinance to keep bikers off private property...but really, those things seem to have died down.

At 350,000, attendance was considered waaaaaay down. Loudon/Laconia bike week is considered one of the top 3 rallies in the country, behind Sturgis, and often beating Daytona.

Good morning everyone! We have an extremely foggy day here today. It was a heck of a lot of fun to try to get into work without being able to see much more than 100 feet in front of you (about 20 in some places) But at least I came in before it got any worse, and it alway seems to be worse for a while as the morning goes on.

I dont' know if I caught that song yesterday or not Gina, but I love it!!! And you aren't a sick ole broad (at least not compared to some others around here )

Geez Marsha you are up way too early!!!! I am glad you are going back to bed! You feeling any better today?

I admit I am still using the alternate way of getting in here. I tried the real way but I still can't get in. Funny though, when I first found the DIS, I had NO CLUE what the web site address was... I only knew the IP address to type in here. I can't remember how long it took for me to know what to type in to get to the website, but I think it was about 6 months.

Gail, I am so very glad you liked everything. I had SO much fun shopping!!!

Well I am glad to see I have my pants... they have the a/c blasting again and it isn't even 60 outside so I am COLD!!!

I could see locking up daughters.....I loved bikes and would have gone for a biker in a heartbeat. LOL!

I was wondering about all of that. You kind of confirmed what I was thinking....it IS loud! And it CAN be disorderly.

But I guess the bikers are getting older, too.....

I've gotten all of my computer training by navigating around this Dis and asking people when I had no clue. I've gotten myself in a few pickles and really needed help figuring out what was going on!

I'm by no means a pro at it, but I have learned some tricks of the trade. And made some rather nice friends. So I guess the DIS has been a GOOD thing for me.

Though my housecleaning has gone to hell in a handbasket!

of course, that photo of the bikes was about the ONLY thing I could post on the FAMILY BOARD...lol.....some of the highlights of bike week are.....get this......waitresses in LEATHER thongs.......beats lime green any day....lol......and jello wrestling.....etc., etc.

it's the stuff like that that continues the bad rap.....like you said Gina, most of them are now getting older...and heck, the amount of money they pay for those rides is right up there!!!!!

Morning! These messed up boards are really trying my patience. Between that and the rain, I am going nuts! Another baseball game cancelled last night, so another doubleheader today.

Leah is getting her braces off today. She is very excited. Popcorn and chewy candy - here she comes!

I don't know how you chatters can be up late at night AND early in the morning. I NEED my beauty sleep.

It is raining here again too. We dropped our pool membership and I really don't miss it at all, yet.

I still have to use the numbers to get here. And I have to send a PM to get to my PM list. So if I send you a nonsense PM, that is why.

Sounds like quite a few packages went out Monday and Tuesday. The one I sent should arrive before the weekend.

Well good morning everyone. I have been gone for the past two days - because my internet service went down on Sunday night and stayed down until yesterday evening (Tuesday). Geeesh! I hate not having my internet! LOL!

I have been logging right into the DIS no problems since my service came back on - I take it that it has been having problems?

Sent a few PM's to Bernie... I could use some smarty pants... have a meeting with two of the five commissioners this afternoon.

We have been in the 90's here for the past week. Today though... a thunderstorm system is sitting on top of is... looks very ominous outside as a result. Could be an "electrifying" day!
