Just thinking ahead - no flames please! If RiddleCon goes over well this year, and it looks like it will, I am putting in an early plug for next year's RiddleCon to be held here in Pittsburgh at Kennywood Park. We would be a little bit closer for those of you who live along the coast, and Gail I know that you are hoping to get to Kennywood one day.

Patrick was born on the 18th, and Meghan was born on 1/21..so for an entire month we are celebrating something...we refer to it as the month of gifting.
Now..about this charm thing...I just opened the charm thread for the first time today...and I totally want a charm bracelet....tell me more!!!!!!

We celebrate from November 15th (DH's bd) right through CHristmas. I'm the odd-man out with a bd in August.

Laura - Kenneywood is definately on our list of future destinations so that could work for us! Now, back to this year...since we can't be at RiddleCon this year don't you think I wouldn't feel so bad if I had a bracelet too????

I haven't bought anything yet, but I agree - once you start looking, you get hooked! Elaine has been wonderful by putting up with all of my PM questions.

Elaine - what charms do you have?

Here are some of the ones I would like: Garfield, patriotic Mickey, Bunco, October birthstone, my initials, Libra, Girl Scouts, a cross, and a musical note.

Speaking of NON-FLAMES:
I just said to DH today that the beginning of this war seemed almost anti-climactic for me...and I attribute that to the fact that I don't watch TV (okay, Sunday race doesn't count) and that during Desert Storm DH was active duty...then....

tonight the power has blipped out a couple of times....and the weather is rainy...no wind, no ice....and I've totally freaked out each time....wondering if there is something "bigger" going on...so I guess this time, it's still as traumatic, but now my focus has changed!!

Hee hee - my friends all went to RiddleCon and all I got was this fantastic charm bracelet!

When is your anniversary and/or birthday? Maybe we could bombard Lew with e-mails about the wonderful world of charm bracelets!

Actually we start with DH's birthday on 12/2...so it's more than a month..but it seems much much longer.

I like the idea of going to Pittsburgh. It's the same distance for me and I have never been to Kennywood before

L4, I have currently (off the top of my head since I have one of my patterened braceletes on) Music note, two different cat charms, teddy bear, computer smilie, rose, "friends" (given by a DIS friend), OSU, lucky horse shoe, Puerto Rican flag, red white & blue ribbon, Aquarius, and that's all I can think of right now. Not sure if that is all of them or not though.

I want a Mickey, Minnie & Pooh charm. I'd also like Ya Ya Sister and if I ever find a decent Chicago charm I'd like that too. Maybe something that says princess or Cinderella as well.

Great idea except he doesn't have his own e-mail...except at work!

the problem is the site doesn't progressive scan in the images, so it takes a while to load each page...even with a cable modem.

it's when the images load a bit at a time (a progressive scan), and the image sort of looks like it's coming into focus...it takes less time for the page to load, instead of loading the entire file and then displaying the image....
did I mention I'm a geek???? LOL
