I want to get some tea at the Aveda store. I tried some last week and it was good. Caffeine and sugar free but sweet because of licorice root.

I'm back from my excursion, and promised the boys if they cleaned the TV room, I'd take them back to TRU and they could use their gift cards to buy a new gamecube game....

hey...if it gets my room cleaned....LOL....I refuse to clean that room, since I NEVER go in it!!!!!!

I went to the mall. Saw thongs in a store but no lime green. I did think of you all though. Got what we went for and nothing more. It was crowded.

Evening all I had a busy day. I seriously didn't buy that much while shopping.

I did get 5 new shirts that I can wear at work or with jeans (love the shirts like that ) and a new bracelet. It is just "blank" and has these charms on it.

I really like having "blank" ones like this as well. I also have a small bracelet that I bought a while back that is like this but only skinnier

I actually have both of these on right now and they look nice together or alone

So then I went out to dinner with my dad and I am now finally home

Now that would be an interesting looking deck......... I'm the builder in the family but my skill lies in furniture that labeled pieces that you put together.

Hi Everyone!
We just got back home from our loooong day at OM competition.
Our team didn't place very well so we won't be going to the state competition this year. The girls handled it very well. I was extremely proud of all of them today because they showed grace under pressure.....5 minutes before they took the stage to perform their skit/solution to their OM problem they had a disaster! Their problem had to include an AI character that could move...it was required to be able to move across a 1 inch line in the center of the performance area. Their AI character was a robotic monkey & he was built on a RC Car so he could move by remote from backstage. To be sure the car battery was fully charged the coach (I am her asst coach) took it home to plug in to charge last night. We discovered 5 minutes before their performace that the battery was still pluged in at her house an hour away oops!! The girls pulled it together & went on anyway....I am very proud of them even though they didn't win....they learned a valuable lesson about how to deal with adversity!

My avoiding phone calls came to an end. The mom of the other boy involved in the fight called and wanted to know about the article that "DD wrote". I explained that DD did not write the article, that a reporter form the paper called her at home and she was caught off guard and is only 16. The mom was saying how she wanted her son's name kept out of the paper. I said that as far as I could tell, her son's name never was in the paper and she was not getting phone calls whereas DD's name was in the paper and we were getting phone calls. AAGGGHHHH!!! I just want this to go away.

Hi everybody! Seems like a long time since I've been able to get on to DIS. We had a great time at the Pinewood Derby yesterday. Logan won 1st place in his age group! I've posted some pictures here. Leah finished 7th or 8th out of 20 in the family race, and Lenny placed 2nd in the leader's race. We celebrated my MIL's birthday afterwards at our house, so I couldn't post an update sooner.

Carol, I couldn't believe that other mother is upset at your DD. She didn't name her son, and I thought her comments were very fair. There will be fights in high schools all of the time, no matter what school you go to. It is a shame that kids in the honors programs, such as your DD, and the kids who participate in OM competition, like L6's, get very little media attention for the positive things they are doing.

Carol, sorry to hear you had to deal with that irrate mother. Your daughters comments were thoughtful and honest, you must be proud of that in light of the annoying telephone call(s).

LK--How cool is that...congrats to the little L. Our District Derby is in April too, at NHIS......if you're in the NH area.....lol.....anyhue..congratulations from the Daniel Webster Council (hey....we should exchange CSP....DS has quite a collection started)

E! I managed a nap today...did you??? Nothing like a boring race to put you to sleep...trouble was I fell asleep on the couch with DH, and by the time I woke up,both of my arms were asleep....uckk....but what an awesome ending to the race!!! Wooohooo...Junior is up to 4th in points.

This afternoon was made for naps! DS is playing at a friend's house, DH went to the hockey game, and DD wanted to watch "Ice Age". I laid on the couch with her and fell asleep for the whole movie. How relaxing!
Stephanie, our council is called Moraine Trails. My DH collects patches - I'm guessing CSP is the council strip patch? I'd love to trade with you! Our next pack meeting is this upcoming Friday. I'll pick one up for you and PM you when I have it. Thanks!
