I'm in CT every 6 weeks or so for a business meeting....been to Ol' Saybrook , Southington, Bristol, Danbury....From LI it's a pretty easy trek - except if memory serves to old saybrook....I think that was a bit further north for me!

They didn't know each other when they were growing up. They met in Seattle & it was just a coincidence that they're both from CT.

It's practically a white-out.....there's an accident on I-95 just over the RI border in MA....between 50-100 cars are involved! My kids got out of school 2 hours early and are now sitting in a conference room in dad's office because I work until 4:00

On a much happier subject I'm up for a meet anywhere in CT.....Foxwoods or Mohegan Sun would be great.

I'm finally back from running errands
tonight I'm supposed to going to a parenting class. It's about the transition from 8th grade to high school. The twins will start 9th grade in the fall & I want to be prepared.
Hopefully it won't be looooooong and boring & I'll actually get something out of it!

Boy, you get busy with work and you come back to almost not being able to find the thread again... I searched for dwarfs but nothing came up I like the new title though, I hope John does too

I wish I could make it to a CT meet, but Luis is already about to kill me for trips so far and in the works this year.

Donna, I was looking in the NW suburb area for hotels. I want to find something that is easy for me to get to from 90/94 or 294. I have been looking in the same area I was before (Glenview, I know technically north burb) because I feel comfortable there and I have a few that I found for about $50/night in Mt. Prospect & Arlington Heights. I am thinking of coming to the April meet to keep my sanity in check before my sister's wedding and I really hope to be there in July as well. But I am still not entirely sure yet.

Oh I booked a hotel for a WDW trip in December... I found the Swan for $147.50 (AAA rate) and I couldn't pass it up. Except for the gov't/nurse rate, that is the best I have found. Once that shock wears off on Luis, I will bring up Chicago and other trips to Luis

Well I should run... I am supposed to go to a wake tonight for my great aunt and I probably ought to get ready.

With all the snow today I was dreading the ride home today ....
I live 45 miles from work ... but it "only" took me an hour and 45 minutes to get home ..... in the past it has taken me 3 hours to get home in a storm so I was happy !

Good evening everyone. My drive into work today was pretty bad. The roads were still snow covered until right before I got into Pittsburgh. I took the kids into work with me and they enjoyed being put to work by some of my coworkers, putting labels on envelopes and stapling papers together. We went out to eat at Boston Market, and then I took them to my SIL's for the afternoon so I could get my work done in peace.

DS and DH are at another Penguin game tonight. Gotta get those bobbleheads! I'm just hanging out waiting for Survivor to start. Another Thursday without ER is not good!

What a DAY! The weather is pretty awful, and us "southerners" aren't as accustomed to dealing with the "white stuff" as those of you who are New Englanders!!!!

As soon as the first flake falls....SOMEONE calls me from work to ask if we should close a location for the day/night! We managed to cover all bases and NOT close anything today....I really try to keep business going...there's always SOMEONE who needs us, so I feel like we should be available!

I am still in my office....had an interview scheduled for a prospective staff person, and I didn't really want to reschedule if I didn't have to....so.....YES, I had to TAPE Survivor, so don't anyone SPOIL it for me until I can fast forward through!!! I'll probably stop and get a bite to eat....haven't had dinner yet....I'll try and stop in later, but in case my spirit is willing but my eyelids weak, I thought I'd wish everyone a good night now!
