Morning all! Off today because I didn't feel like braving the roads! The last time they were plowed was yesterday afternoon and at least 6 inches have fallen since then. We have a level 2 snow emergency right now (would be a level 3 if we weren't in the capital city I am sure as all other surrounding counties are in a level 3), my public library is closed (and they NEVER close) and even Ohio State is closed (again they NEVER close). So I am at home watching the flurries (still) and eating my grits

I am here. Basically everything is closed. The governor even closed to roads to all but essential workers. (I don't know who makes that decision.) I decided I am non-essential. I should actually try to do something productive today.

Good morning fellow chatters!! I hope that all of you that got hit with this terrible storm stay safe and warm today. We've had very little snow this winter, although more than we've had in the past few years, but it has been exceptionally cold this year.

No snow here at all....it seems very strange to hear about all of the snow not have any. We are usually getting pounded with snow this time of year. For all of you snowed in folks........stay warm & stay safe!!

About 80% of staff has called in and we don't even have computer systems.......daycare just called and said my kids have to be picked up by 11 because they're shutting down....

Your daughter looked so CUTE in the picture before the dance! Megan & my DH went when she was younger & she loved it. Dylan & I went to the Mother/Son dance last year & he borrowed $ from Daddy so he could take me out to dinner

Gail, be safe as you go out today. My DH went to work and I think he is nuts for it, but he also drives on major roads that have been plowed... mine haven't yet (I do all suburban driving). I think I do hear a plow in the distance so that is a good thing!

What I would't give to be on a plane heading to Orlando though right now... anyone want to join me on that trip?

OK - I noticed that! I understood what you meant, because I'm been going back and forth between both threads this morning.

Lars - trust me, it would be an ugly mug if I took a picture of myself right now! No shower yet, hair is sticking up all over, glasses are on, and I am covered in paint! I will post a picture when I am more, ahem, presentable. How sweet of your son to take you out to dinner!!!

I lost DH briefly.....his cell phone was acting funky and when I couldn't connect with him I started to panic. Luckily he's fine and heading over to pick up the kids.

They've already cancelled daycare for tomorrow so I'll be home.

Still at work
They just announced we're closing at noon......so we're stuck for another 1 1/2 hours. We have no computer systems working so we're telling people to callback anyway so nobody's too happy that we have to sit here until noon whil even more snow piles up on our cars and on the roads.
