Richard Petty Driving Experience?

I just cant believe it. There are actually men that have never driven a stick?:confused3 Hmmmm I thought that was the first right of passage into manhood?:rotfl2:

Ok, sorry about that to any and all who have not experienced it. There is just something about pushing the clutch in at a stop light and revving up the motor.
:woohoo: Popping the clutch and squealing the tires on take off. Ahhhhh forgot for a minute there this is 2008 and I'm a grandma not 1976 and a giggly teenager

See, there are other women like me...both my cars are manuals and I wouldn't have it any other way....:thumbsup2

In Pete's defense, I don't currently own a manual and I have 6 vehicles in my driveway(yes, they all run very well and none of them are on cynder blocks!!!). I wouldn't own one again, because, honestly...its a royal PITA in traffic, and when I did own them...my left leg's muscles were always twice the size of my right leg's!!!! But, I sure have a soft spot for a dame who loves a stick, and...believe me...I have burned right through waaay too many sets of tires not to be able to fully know the power of complete control over an engine, but it just doesnt impress me as much as when I was younger.
But Pete's still a wuss!!!

I grew up in central NJ. With the amount of traffic there, no one that could avoid it would buy a stick... yes, I AM WUSS... Hear me WHIMPER

Yeah, in all honesty....it does become a pain in the.....leg. Husband and I argue over who is gonna drive if we take the manual F350 anywhere. Its not as important as it was a few yrs ago. The next pickup will definitely be an automatic.
