Sunday April 30th, 6.00am.
Well, as usual, we're all up fairly early on day one (still on UK time). Over to Sassagoula's for breakfast (Mickey waffle with strawberries for Victoria, cereals for DW and me).
Once finished it was straight over to the Magic Kingdom, so into Miss Piggy and away...
...no wrong turns this time!
Arriving at MK nice and early it was the forced march over to one of our favourite rides, the Pirates of the Caribbean. Oh! Look, a Photopass person...better get that organised.
"Come on!, Come on! Stop lagging behind you two!". DW is not the fastest walker on the planet. So, back to the POTC. Last chance before it closes for refurbishment. Hmmm....it definately needs refurbishing.
Next, organise the Fastpasses; the three mountains, Splash, Space and Big Thunder (WHAT? Splash Mountain closed because of a technical fault - something to do with the High School Grads the night before methinks). Okay BTM it is then. Wah Hey!! No queues. Do the ride, out the exit and back on again.....this time with Video Camera. Now that was some interesting footage.
We also get to do Haunted Mansion and then over to Space Mountain (I still have to get Victoria over to DLP to do their's - she was too small when she was only 6). Its still only 10.30am so we decide to have a leisurely stroll then back to Miss Piggy to take us to POFR for something to eat.
....Orlando road signs. "Where the Hell are we?"
I think we should have taken a turning back there somewhere....We don't want the airport just yet. Okay, so I did a "U"ee and got us back on the right track.
A quick nosh and freshen up and Miss Piggy is taking us to EPCOT.
Great news, we get the Fastpass for Soarin' and walk straight onto Mission Space. Following that it's over to Test Track for another "walk-on" (including Video Camera again). And we all like the plant animals.
Then its back to POFQ (same mistake...same "U"ee) to freshen up before Miss Piggy escorts us to the Animal Kingdom Lodge for our meal at Boma's....
...I wish I hadn't had anything to eat for lunch. Hey, but it still didn't stop us!!
Disney Dining Plan: what a wonderful idea. After the "all you can eat buffet" we ventured out to the Savannah. Loads of animals: Giraffes, Zebras, Wilderbeest, Rabbits!!
By now, we're feeling rather tired, so Miss Piggy takes us back to the POFQ (with our now customary "U"ee on route).
We picked up our coffees and pink lemonade in our refillable mugs at Sassagoula's and retired for our well earned rest.
By the way, I haven't told you about the weather yet. Unseasonally high temperatures, in the 90's, no rain and getting hotter!
