Tuesday 2nd May
Start the day with our breakfast in Sassagoulas. Wow! Today is another scorcher reaching 95F by mid afternoon.
This morning we decided on a bit of retail therapy to have a small break from the parks....
...well, retail therapy over it was off to Animal Kingdom, Miss Piggy getting us there in comfort.
We immediately made our way to Everest to get our fastpasses and then took a ride on Dinosaur (well two actually as they were both walk on's). We then made our way over to Tuskers for our lunch. Far too much food yet again!
Once lunch was over we headed back to Everest.
Now this ride was impressive. Even DW went on it, albeit only once. Victoria and I then noticed the single ride option in the same entrance to the fastpass...so straight on it again we went. We took in "A Bug's Life" and DW bought herself the Mickey Mouse Safari hat. Victoria and I went on the Kali River Rapids, but chicken wife opted out on this one due to the fact she got soaked 5 years ago!
We got off again with a light splashing.
Because things had now heated up (95F) we left a 4.00pm and drove back to POFR for a freshen up - no mistakes on route again (Miss Piggy really knows the way now).
This evening we had our Fantasmic Dinner package at the Hollywood and Vine.
Having suitably filled our bellies again with food we made our way to the arena and took up our prime position......MOZZIES!! Millions upon millions of MOZZIES! Thousands of people wafting any bit of paper in the air to repel them. Luckily they all seemed to disappear just before the start. We were all enjoying the show, and then I noticed....
.....they were flying the British Union Flag upsidedown at the point at where the show does the Pochahontas bit. (Yes, I've told Disney. It will be interesting to see if they correct their mistake).
Show over and its time to join the cattle trail to make our way out of MGM.
Miss Piggy is doing a superb job at getting us back to the hotel until - err shouldn't we have turned off back there. Oh well!! We did our customary "U"ee and arrived back at the French Quarter safely.
Refillable mugs topped up with coffee and fanta, slurped down and then to bed for a well earned rest.
