Monday May 1st:
Well, after a good night's sleep....
....Victoria finally got up to have her Mickey Waffle breakfast.
Today is CRT day so we jumped into Miss Piggy for an easy ride over to MK. Today Splash Mountain was open so we picked up our Fastpass then over to Tomorrowland to walk onto Buzz Lightyear. Now there must be something wrong with the scoring system; DW WON!! DD second and yours truly third.....definately a problem with the computer! We then had a relaxing wander before I was forced, against my will, kicking and screaming, to go on the most terrifying ride in the whole of WDW......It's a Small World (and I bet you're all humming the tune to yourselves now).
Once done, and now a gibbering wreck, we walk over to the Castle for our lunch with the princesses.
Not one of the highlights of the holiday, but it had to be done. And the special sweet baked specially by the Royal Chefs freshly that day, turned out to be a Muffin!!
To relax we watched the parade
and then explored Tom Sawyer's Island...and boy! was it getting hot today (93F).
You also get some excellent views of Big Thunder Mountain from there.
We then decided to make our way to EPCOT (MK was getting rather crowded) and, had another go on Mission Space (walk on again) before setting off so that Victoria could make her masks (what ever happened to all the feathers beads etc of 5 years ago...it's just cardboard and crayons now). Anyway we took in the rides at Mexico and Norway, and after the "10 mile trek" (EPCOT - Every Person Comes Out Tired) we ate at the Counter Service in the Land. Very nice, far superior to th CRT.
Evening was now drawing in, so we left before the fireworks (we were seeing them later in the week), beating the crowds, and back to the POFQ. No "U"ee's this night, Miss Piggy was getting used to the roads now.
Back to our room to pick up our re-fillable mugs, and our Mousemaid had made us a swan and dog out of the towels.
A nice lazy evening before turning into bed for the night.
