Richard Allen found guilty

I've been following this one though not as closely as I did in the very beginning when the girls were killed.

From the things I read, the prosecution seemed like they weren't doing a great job. And investigators made some mistakes. So I was honestly a bit surprised by the verdict.

I hope more details about the trials and evidence come out once sentencing is over.

Pretty local case for me and I hate to say it, but I think law enforcement erred that evening in thinking that it was a run-away situation and not what it ended up being. It's also obvious that they simply didn't have the experience needed to properly handle what they were faced with. Delphi, and Carroll county, are both quite small and murder just isn't something they experience often, if at all.

At least there is closure now, at least until the appeals start. I'm not sure what to think about it all anymore.

Yeah, I really can't decide if I think he did it or not.

At the time it all happened, I was a frequent poster on a forum called Websleuths and I remember that night when people were assuming they just ran away. I was so sad to see how it all unfolded.

Did you see the theories about it being tied to some locals who are into Odinism? (I honestly don't really know what that is but I saw posts about a symbol on the tree in blood and the weird placement of the branches.)

Yeah, I truly think the Odinism claims are just a defense strategy to introduce reasonable doubt. I get why they'd want to do that, but I don't think there is any merit to it at all.
