Rice Krispie treats

Okay I admit, I have NEVER had one of these at Disney. Granted, I've made them myself plenty of times and I've also bought those pre packaged ones that are sold in the grocery stores. The pre packaged ones are okay and who can complain about the home made ones. MMMMMM

What do the ones in Disney taste more like? Homemade or prepackaged? And I'm sure once you throw some melted chocolate on it, it just makes it much more magical, no?

They taste same to us...sometimes they taste a bit like plastic from the saran wrap......maybe they are still warm when they are wrapped up?

To me they are not as good as homemade. Mine come out with a buttery marshmellow flavor and the WDW are more marshmellowy and stiffer. Still good but not as good - and leave off the chocolate - I like my krispy treats plain!

We love them. We like the pre packaged at the counter ones better than the ones at goofy's that you make. I like just plain old rice cristies. Since we got home in Dec., My mother always has them at her house.

We had the chocolate dipped at POR last year and they were so good.

Get the design your own at Goofy's Candy Company in DTD. OMGosh they are soooo good!!

I use real butter - have never been crazy about butter substitutes as I normally use butter sparingly - and prefer my own - or my mom's - krispie treats! Disney's are okay, but I can definitely tell the difference. I've also noticed that the brand of marshmellows makes a difference - the "no-frills" brands can give disappointing results in my experience. And although I adore chocolate, the chocolate krispie treats are rather ordinary, IMHO.

OMG...I love them. I usually pick them up in Goofies at the MK or at the Candy Cauldron at DTD.

I usually get the ones in the display case, so they are not wrapped (no plastic packaging taste).

I love the one that has chocolate and the M&Ms one.

They are HUGE!!! like the size of a brick.

Love, love, love these! I get the ones at Goofy's with the chocolate and sprinkles on the ears. Last year I bought a box to give to my nieces, just don't tell them, cause they never made it to their house. LOL I will get them another box in March, but will also buy one for myself, maybe they will get theirs this time (maybe not)

My enitre family is nuts-o about the chocolate dipped rice crispy mickey heads on a stick! I make awesome rice crispy treats at home all the time (with peanut butter and sometimes mini chocolate chips) but there is something really special about the ones at WDW!!!

They are good. I always bring some back for my grandkids and they can't tell the difference. Enjoy
