My dd's really want to eat here and I'm trying to decide how to fit it into my itinerary, any opinions on which is better or easier to get into?

They are both quite good... you really can't go wrong. I believe you can make PS at both locations now so the wait should not be to bad at either.

I think I'm correct in saying at RFC is the only full-service restaurant at AK. :D

If you want to get into Rainforest Cafe fairly quickly, go to their website and sign up for the Safari Club. It costs $15 for a lifetime membership. It gets you a $10 gift certificate right off the bat. Then they send you a gift cert. every year for your birthday. You get a free appetizer every visit, or 10% off your bill. You also get 10% off merchandise at the shop attached to it. It also offers you priority seating. You flash your card at the host/hostess station (a big purple elephant I think) and they put you up at the top of the list for a table. We were just there a few weeks ago and when we flashed our new safari card, the normal 2 hour wait turned into a mere 20 min. wait. That alone was worth the money to me!!

Is the Safari Club priority seating better/faster than what one could get by calling ahead for a PS, or just a good option if you haven't already got a PS?

In my experiences (and there have been a lot), it is much better using the Safari card. You will still wait to have your name called when you make PS but you are immediately escorted to the line if you have a safari card (at least we always were). We never waited more than 10 minutes to get seated when the waits were upwards of 2 + hours!!!

DisneyFan09: Our countdown timers are the same :) ...where are you staying? We always make a PS for the RFC at AK for lunch on our AK day...it's a nice mid-day break. This year we're also doing the RFC at DD just for the Volcano dessert. ;) Have fun...your kids will love it.

Hi DisneyLisa!! We will be at the Poly for the first 4 nights and CBR for the last 4!! Thanks for the info about RFC, I think I'm going to try to go to DTD and save lunch at AK for Tusker House!! There are way too many fun places to eat!!
