Reward for paint brush at Tom Sawyer Island.

The first raft over isn't until 10:00 so we got in some riding before heading to the island. We were on the first raft and none of the paintbrushes were easy to find at least on this day. I was the only one who found one of all the people who had headed over on the first raft. The CM was laughing. He had hidden them himself and he knew they would be hard to find. We got a fastpass for any ride we chose, not just Splash or BTMR. My DS found one in 2007 and the FP was for Splash or BTMR only. The CM told us that sometimes they will re-hide them during the day and sometimes they don't. Sometimes they make them easy to find and sometimes they don't - hit or miss.

I just got home from visiting WDW and my 9 year old found a paint brush. We took a early afternoon raft over and asked the CM if there were any left and he didn't know. We search the whole island and we had just about given up and on our way back to the raft he found one!! I was as happy as he was, his big brother found one a few years earlier. We got a FP for any ride in the park.

What is "Mickey's Gold" and where can you find it? pirate:

I found one last month, I was on the 1st raft over and it was just sitting on top of a ledge by the caves.... i was really proud of myself though! hehehe! it seems like all the brushes were found by our 1st raft bc I saw about 3 other people holding them. I was given a fastpass for BTMR only and it was good all day any time.

AH!!

On our first trip to the MK last year we were on the riverboat (the liberty belle?) and it was taking FOREVER to cast off. My SO and I went to the top deck and I was explaining why the fence was half painted, and I remarked that it was so cool that they had a paintbrush next to the fence!!! We saw so many people pick it up, take pictures with it, there was even a little boy who pretended to paint the whole fence. I guess we weren't the only ones who had no idea that it was supposed to be hidden!

GREAT story!:)

I found a Paintbrush sticking out of a hole in Aunt Polly's fence once.:)

Whenever I find a Paintbrush,I always make a picture "painting" the fence before I turn it in-one of the best "photo ops" in all of WDW.:)

SOunds like fun..in all my trips, this is the first I've heard of the paintbrush. We're committed to being at toontown RD - so we'll have to hope that there is a brush or two still there when we get to it.

This is what to look for.:)

We tried looking for one in july when we were there. We were the first raft over. There were no paintbrushes hidden. It was a waste of time. I could have ridden a few rides instead of wasting my time waiting for the raft to go over, run all over the island looking for the paintbrush and then coming back off the island.
