Revival of the angry thread!

Yeah. I fear DD will be joining the ranks of the unemployed tomorrow. She has been asked by her boss to report tomorrow morning, her day off, for a 5 minute meeting.

Oh no. I hope that's not so Jim. :sad2: I'll keep a good thought for your daughter.

It's hard for her with her bipolar disorder to keep a job, and she seemed to be doing well with this one, but with the economic downturn, I don't think the veterinary hospital is doing so well and they will be cutting back. It will make it hard for Carol and I dealing with her if this happens, especially since she recently totalled her car and is having trouble adjusting to riding the bus and getting rides from us and friends. We'll see tomorrow, I guess.

Well, this day sucked. Tomorrow doesn't look any better.

Not here. The sun is out and it's supposed to be in the 60's today. Scooter riding weather. Tonight we are going to a chili cook off. My wife will be entering her White Chicken Chili. Should be a good time with plenty of gas to go around.

:headache: Ok- venting time- sorry guys not directed at anyone specifically but my lovely DH... why is it that all week long I am expected to wake up, walk the dogs, get everyone fed and off to school- then start in on the laundry, house work, and everything else all day every day- which includes walking the pups every 2 hours.... and I do this all week no matter how sick I am, what I feel like cause it has to get done... is it wrong of me to hope for a little help on Matts days off so I can maybe sleep in past 6:30 just once a week? Its just so aggravating...

I need a vacation....lol

Not as bad as we expected. Her hours were cut from 38 to 24 per week. Her partner in the job was cut from 40 to 24 and lost all benefits, though. Also, Chris works only Tues, Wed and Thurs while the other kennel person works Monday, Wed and Fri.

Wow Tigger062,
this is the second time in a week that you've gone off on your family about things,,sounds to me like a family meet'n is in order, cause you certainly sound unhappy.

we all need a avacation.

Well that is better news than what I was expecting! If her hours at the vet's office are set hours, perhaps she will be able to find another part-time job to fill in the gap.

My hours at THD have gone from 20/week to 10-12/week. I'm okay with that because I'm basically working for dental & eyecare benefits. Anything more than that is gravy at this point.

I'm glad to hear they didn't lay her off completely. Hopefully things will pick up soon, and she'll be back to work full time.

Keeping you in hopeful thoughts Jim. :cheer2:

I'm just really stressed out and having a rough time I guess... dont mean to go off- just venting... going thorugh a lot and not handling it very well- I got some really bad news earlier this week and it really threw me for a loop... so its like everything else is setting me off I guess... I just keep repeating "xx days till I get to Disney" over and over again...

back to repainting the living room cause my lil guy thought it would be "cool" to decorate it with sharpie markers while I was taking the dogs out..... lol...

I see you've got a full house. How about your ten year old helping you out some.:confused3 Can't the ten year old keep an eye on the little creative genius you've got there, while you walk the dogs. Or..how about having your ten year old walk one of the pups...and then the other?
I think when you've got a full house giving the kids some repsonsibilities helps everyone pull together and doesn't leave the burden to just you. You'll be surprised at how much less of a mess they make when THEY have to clean it up.
My daughter actually went to preschool and didn't play with anything..because she didn't want to help out during "clean up time"..:lmao: When asked why she wasn't playing with any of the toys..she replied "I'm not cleanin' that stuff up"...:rotfl2:
Instead she followed her teacher around filling his ears with interesting tidbits of life at home.:rolleyes1 (a post for another time.. )

Adding two puppies to your already full household sure makes things more difficult. Much as my oldest always wanted a dog..he didn't get one until he was almost 13, and I felt he could help out with it. While you can't go back and undo anything..maybe it's time for the kids to start helping out. All but the littlest two year old, should be able to carry some of the load. Cleaning up their rooms...or picking up their toys, that sort of thing. Some times we moms get so caught up in "doing" for the kids..we don't realize they should be "doing" more for themselves.
In any case..I'm sure it doesn't help you to know this now..but this phase really doesn't last forever. Trust me, some day..you're gonna miss it.

Take a look.

Auntie-
Thank you for the words of encouragement... things normally arent this crazy around here- its just been recently... My oldest has Apsergers Syndrome- but he does help out as much as he is able... the older boys are each responsible for a dog- walking and feeding htem on a schedule, but today were preoccupied and playing nicely, so I let them off the hook and walked them myself...and they do have "chore charts" and a daily schedule that we follow strictly (due to my oldest's needs) but weekends are usually the roughest cuase its a different schedule and sometimes I just cant seem to keep on track...

I'm trying to stay positive- at least my living room, foyer and kitchen have a great new coat of paint on them!
