Would it be possible to close that thread and sub-divide it in the future either by restaurant, or by parks, and resorts?

It's a little overwhelming at 500+ pages especially if you want to see pics of a certain place!

I envision one thread with links to the various restaurants, opening a thread for that restaurant so all that restaurants pics would be in one place. :goodvibes

I completely agree :thumbsup2

The current thread is huge and has no purpose. I have plenty of good food photos but would not bother posting on there. For me to find food from a particular place, scrolling would take forever :scared: And I would be starving by time I found what I wanted.

Why couldn't it be a Sticky "Restaurant Food & Interior Photos" or something, and then a thread for each restaurant. Then folks can post pictures. If you want to hunt a particular restaurant you only need click Sticky and that restaurant thread.

I know before I make ADRs I research for photos to see if the interior atmosphere are of interest to me, and the food looks good. The menu just isn't enough for me.

You only need one thread per restaurant so it keeps it concise, and no reviews (that has it's own section), only photos with a description of what is in the photo.

Great idea LglBlonde :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2

Even with that division, I think it'd be easier if it were all in one thread than havign to click to open a bunch of posts.

Please don't close the food picture thread. I love it the way it is. I sometimes just click through the different pages to get an idea of where to eat. I think it is neat how that thread started and then how it just grew and grew. Its one of my favorites on the DIS.

I don't think as many people would take the time to post pictures in restaurant or even park specific threads. I think having the itemized link thread is a good organizational tool if someone is willing to help keep it up

I agree that another, more organized thread should be started, even if you keep the old one too. Not only are there so many pages, but it began in 2005 so there could be many food items that are no longer offered now. If both types of thread exist, those that prefer more organization can view and post on one thread and those that like the variety and longevity of the original thread can view and post there. Just my thoughts. :)

Another vote for keeping it the way it is. I enjoy it completely and I like the randomness. Sometimes I see pictures from restaurants I might not have considered
Just my thoughts

I like the organized pictures thread. It's got all the pictures, organized first into location, then by restaurant name. We were thinking of going to the Biergarten, so it was easy to go to the organized thread and scroll down to the Biergarten pictures. (A tip: the links for each restaurant are in chronological order, so the last posts for each restaurant are the most recent ones!) Someone-actually, KellieMae! puts a lot of work into organizing them into this thread!!

I can see the logic of having one thread for each restaurant, but there would need to be...I don't know how many! There's a lot of restaurants in the World!!

It is also fun to just go to the 500+ page thread, and just look at the p0rn!! popcorn::

I am for organized chaos. More organized than chaos. I love the idea of having a place with menus, prices AND pictures all in one spot. People could still post pictures and such on that thread if they wanted to although the German in me likes the idea of the 'best' picture being used.

I have already done several menus just that way and inserted pictures of the food, some from the Food Porn Thread, and put them on a cd that I took to DW in September. Instead of just showing my dh the printed out menu of a particular restaurant he was able to see exactly what each item looked like. It was a lot of work to do for just one person to enjoy though.

Another DISer once started doing this (I am sorry I forget her name on the thread and I did one or two myself but we were told it would be too hard to do on the Boards). I do not understand that reasoning. It would be a major boost to the website IMO.
