I have a very particular eater in our family-here's where we'd like to eat - can you give your reviews and also critique the food he's chosen:
French Market for Fried Chicken
Blue Bayou for lunch - suggestions?
Vineyard Room for Caesar Salad and Roast Chicken
Hollywood & Dine for Burgers and Fries
Lucky Fortune Cookery for Teriyaki Chicken Bowl
(and do they have an American Food menu?)
Corn Dog Castle for Corn Dogs and Cheese Sticks
Avalon Cove ? any suggestions
Granvilles for steak
Hooks Pointe for seafood
Storytellers for Roated Chicken
Goofy's for breakfast buffet
PCH Grill for pizza and pasta

The Hollywood and Dine is closed.

The Monte Cristo at the Blue Bayou is good. That is all we ever order at lunch so I don't know what else is on the menu.

Avalone Cove is now Ariels Grotto. They have a good hamburger and fries. Good Fish and Chips and at Dinner a good meatloaf served with tomato relish on top.

Goofy's for breakfast has many many things to choose from. They have a breakfast pizza with eggs and bacon and cheese. The have a breakfast pizza with peanutbutter and jelly!!!! The have an omlet bar, waffles, bagels, cereal, breads, green salad. There should be plenty of regular items.

I am happy to say that I did not try that one. Other family members did and are waiting to go back for more!!! I loved the Egg, bacon and cheese pizza though.

* There is a blackened Caesar Salad that is good, & I've had the Jambalaya (rice with sausage & shrimp, slightly spicy) that is good. The Monte Cristo is a favorite there, but it was too rich for my dd.

* Simple fare, yet tasty, and the atmosphere is nice - character dining

* Expensive, but good from what I here

* My favorite restaurant at the DLR. I haven't had their roasted chicken, but I've had other meals, and they were good
Goofy's for breakfast buffet
* I liked it - good choices here, and character interaction was fun
PCH Grill for pizza and pasta
* Never tried it, but it has a good reputation in this area

Story Teller is my favorite restaraunt in DLR! you should try at least once. The food are tasty and price are very reasonable. Make sure you make reservation becos they are always crowded!

I can only tell you about three as I haven't eaten at the others.

Corn Dog Castle... The corndogs were big and very good. They tended to be a little on the greasy side. What I did was get them to go in the evening and carry them back to the hotel (we were at PPH), wrapped in napkins, inside their bag. The napkins absorbed most of the grease by the time I got back to the room.

Blue Bayou... had the Monte Cristo and the Andoullie Sausage Stuffed Mushrooms. Both very good. BB is worth eating at for the atmosphere alone.

PCH Grill... we ate there three times, two dinners and one breakfast (ordered off the menu, didn't do the buffet). The portions there are large, the food is good, and we found the service to be great.

Any thoughts on where to get the best burgers and fries? How about Pizza?

Avalon Cove/Ariel's Grotto: Good food. After almost a week of eating "beige" food (i.e. no veggies except fries) the cobb salad looked marvelous!

Pizza Oom Mow Mow was pretty good. They also did salads there if I remember correctly.

Try Taste Pilots Grill next to Soarin'. Their ribs are
great too!

Best Pizza:

Hands down is Redd Rockets Pizza Port in Tomorrowland.
The Chicken Fusilli pasta is to DIE for!

Burgers at ESPN are awesome! You have to try the chocolate chip cookie sundae there too.

The Fried Chicken Dinner at the Plaza Inn is always number one on our families 'must eat' list at Disneyland. And they offer (at least they did on our last trip in Jan) free soda refills.

I love Monte Cristos and I love the Blue Bayou, but I don't love the Monte Cristos at the Blue Bayou. The one I had was soggy with grease...just a word of caution.

Any "must eats" on anyone's list?

How about Blue Bayou recommendations? I'd like to try it for the atmosphere alone but don't want to spend an arm and a leg for food we won't enjoy.

Last time I was at the Blue Bayou it was about a year ago for dinner, so my memory of the details is sketchy. I ordered a fish entree, probably salmon, and it was aweful. Some of the people I was with ordered a pork entree that was fantastic. My number one tip for this place would be to split entrees if it works for you. They are huge!

I agree. My SO and I split an appetizer and a Monte Cristo and found that to be enough. Also, do BB for lunch. The portions are still large but the prices are much cheaper.
