Thanks for your help Marcia! The food looks really good, as does the restaurant. Is it really as dimly lit as people say it is?

Thanks for posting the review & great pics! This is definitely a place I am considering for an add on to our ADR's. THANKS SO MUCH AGAIN :) :)

It is pretty dimly li but my children LOVED it! Especially my DS who was 8 at the time. He took like 50 pics of the dancer :rotfl2: . She WAS pretty smokin' and I am a chick sayin this.... We finally had to take his camera from him and say enough is enough Jr. Paparazzo--time to eat! We all tried something different and the food was very good!

Sorry I don't have my pictures of the restaurant scanned, but I have been there for dinner once in 2006. The food wasn't my thing particularly, but the entertainment/atmosphere of Marrakesh was GREAT! It's really beautiful inside.

I remember having the chicken cous cous for dinner, I believe it was. That was what I wasn't crazy about, but everybody else in my party loved their meals :confused3  ;)
The appetizer was some kind of crunchy cinnamon thing, very good. And the best part was the TEA! Delicious tea. :)

Great pics and info! Thank you!

We are actually arriving tomorrow and I have always been too chicken to try Marrakesh. I cant do anything spicy. I am so bland! :D

Do you know if they have the entertainment during lunch or is it only at Dinner? Im sure that dh and ds would certainly enjoy! :)

I've eaten there a few times and always loved my meal (I have tried: Mediterranean Seafood Platter, Couscous and Sultan Sampler). We have alway had a great server and the kids really liked the entertainment.

It is dimly lit but not bad (nothing like Sci-Fi). You can see what you are eating and read the menu with out a problem :)

The restaurant is beautiful and the entertainment is fun (although the night we went, the belly dancer had more than a few stripper moves!) My daughter loved dancing with the group of kids. However, if you are familiar with this cuisine and have access to authentic Moroccan food, you will be sorely disappointed in the meal, especially when you see the tab!

I have wanted to try there but I don't like the smell of curry and stuff like that but it looks beautiful

We go and take the entire family for Christmas Eve dinner at some EPCOT restaurant each year. We've done this one twice and even the kids loved it. As far as being dimly lit...no where near as dim as San Angel Inn (very dark) or any more dim than Le Cellier.

DH loved this restaurant while it was "okay" for me. I did like the atmosphere and the dancer though. Let's see if I can get these pics to work:

Can you tell us what you ate in those pictures?

My son has an interest in international anything, so wants to eat there in October. I'm canceling Shula's to book this. My husband and I ate there in 1992. It was okay...I'm not that into the food and my Mom won't like it, but I also know we won't starve at WDW.

Do they have belly dancers every night? I was going to book dinner for 6:15 or so.

Goofy4Disney--that was our dancer that my son wouldn't stop taking pics of LOL!!:rotfl2: Only she had a white and gold outfit almost exactly like that on.

We didn't eat dinner there, only lunch, so I'm not sure what goes for the belly dancers at dinner times. The 1st pic was my Shish Kebob (beef), the 2nd was my husband's Couscous with Lamb Shank. The bread they brought to the table before the meal was served.

My DH wouldn't stop foaming at the mouth! It's obvious why he enjoyed the meal more than I did! :lmao:

Oh, I forgot to add that I'd also had the Marrakesh Delight for dessert (fresh fruit topped with mint ice cream, toasted almonds and orange blossom water). It was um, different. It didn't even rate in my top 25 desserts in the world. I didn't like it, but to each their own!

I don't think I would like the food here, but the architecture is absolutely stunning. Very beautiful! Disney did a great job on the theming.
