Well we were planning on a tent camping trip that fell through and now DH is saying no way. He isnt tent camping. I am not giving up on a trip to the fort. Also the fort is about the most reasonably priced resort that we can afford to stay at being a soon to be family of 10 in nov. So I searched in here and found someone suggested the site florida camper rental. Looks really nice and they have a travel trailer that sleeps 10. :cool1: From the floor plan it will be perfect for us. So was wondering if anyone else has experience with them. According to the site they even set up so no worry about transporting something we have never driven. And they pick up too. Going to talk to DH tonight about it but I think this is my ticket to get our Christmas 2014 trip planned at a good price. Since Christmas is DHs only time off from work.:santa:

If you use the "Search this Forum" and the Advanced Search option, you can get some info about trailer rentals. This topic comes up from time to time.

I can agree with your dh about camping in tents ;)

About the rentals - we've never rented one, but from talking to others, by the time you rent your site, then rent your RV, price wise there is not much, if any, savings from renting vs. value hotel.

Now, if you enjoy camping and it's not just for the 'savings' factor, then I can understand why you want to go the rental route.

Hope your plans can work out and you can schedule a great 'get away' at Disney. :goodvibes

ETA: Just noticed that you said it was for a family of 10 - in that case maybe the RV would be a lot cheaper. Good luck - pixiedust:

Yep :) that 10 just makes us too big for the values. Well the baby would only be 1 but our 2nd youngest will be 3 in Jan. So we are just 1 too many for the 2 rooms at the values. We would have to do 2 family suites and WOW  that is a lot. Just looking at this yrs prices since I cant get next yrs yet. We would save over $7,000 doing it this way.

We talked about it last night and DH said he would be cool with that. :cool2: Although we are thinking we might wait til 2015 since we want to get this unexpected van payment over with. And hoping that by 2015 we will have it paid off.

Thanks for all the help according to the search and reviews they are really good and they have some good reviews on their FB page too.

We just got back from Disney, Saturday, we rented from Florida Camper Rentals. It was great, clean well maintained, and they set it up before we arrived. At the end of our trip they pack it up and we were on our way. The staff is friendly, helpful, and want you to have a great time. The only issue we had was at the pool unlike the other resorts Disney does not supply towels, so we had to use our bath towels from camper then dry them. But the camper rental was great, William from FCR is very easy to do business with.

Thank you. That is so good to hear. Thanks about the towels. Being Floridians it might be a bit too cool during that time but hopefully we can have a few days at the pool. We aren't doing a lot of park days either. DH likes to rest on vacation and this is his only vacation time to catch up on sleep. :)
