OK, I'm sure you are wondering why did I list the airport. Well, we ended up eating dinner hear before flying home (we spend every last minute we could in the parks). We flew SW and left MCO at gate 20 something and felt like we were taking a risk to count on airport food (especially for DS 9, DD's 7 & 3). Well, we were happy to find a Sbarro AND McD's near our gate. Don't quote me on it, but I think the price for a whole cheese pizza was only $10.99 (I think that is the same price here at home) which was a real bargin! We got a whole pizza and some fries for McD's (we were still on vacation, right?) and it a perfect meal (at least in the kids eyes).
Chef Mickeys...hummm....the charater interaction was just perfect! My DS 9 thinks he's a little too old for this charater stuff, but Goofy was great with him (I'll treasure those pictures as long as I live). My DD 3 really got into the napkin twirl thing, and DD 7 had a great time too. This was our first dinner on our first trip to WDW so we were in a great mood and this place has a real "fun" atmosphere. The kids really liked the cheese pizza (and I have some real picky eaters) and my DD's loved the chicken nuggets (they looked like the kind McD serves). That said, I was a little disappointed with the food for the adults. I have herd others rave about the mash potatoes, to me they were pastey and bland (it truly must me the time and day you go here). They had some beef stoganoff dish that tasted too sweet for me. They also had some pasta and chicken dish that was fair (but since I don't like mushrooms I wouldn't rave about it). Chef Mickey's did have an awsome dessert bar (OK, I think I understand how I gain 4 pounds on this trip). Everything was good (I only had a small bite of each thing) the Key Lime Pie, Choc Mouse cake thing, brownie, cookies (I didn't try the ice cream)...hummmm I am getting hungry. I don't think I would do this again, but I certainly glad I did do this once.
