We just returned from our WDW wedding/honeymoon/Christmas trip!!
We did not stay at FW, but we did spent most of Christmas Eve there & I just wanted to share our impressions.
This was our first time visiting the Fort and it did not disappoint-it was our favorite day of our entire trip (aside from our wedding LOL!). We rented a golf cart in the early afternoon and spent a few hours riding around FW, checking everything out. It was so much fun and there was SO much to explore!! I love how the Fort is set up like different "neighborhoods"
We checked out all the "neighborhoods", the beach, and all of the other fun nooks.
After exploring in the daytime, we headed over to Pioneer Hall for a 4pm HDDR show. It was so much fun!! Far exceeded our expectations (and we were already expecting it to be great!). Our waiter was Rob ("that's Bor spelled backwards"
) and he was great-so funny! Food was great, and the show was fantastic!! They incorporated some Christmas songs as well, which was nice.
After the HDDR, we headed back on our golf cart and rode around checking out all of the amazing Christmas decorations that the campers had set up-they were absolutely amazing! My two favorites were the one that looked like a little duplicate of Osbourne Family Lights and the camper that had a scene set up of Mickey & Minnie sitting by a fireplace. We rode around for hours, also stopped by the Christmas song sing-a-long, and then easily dropped off our golf cart when we were done, and headed back to our resort, WL.
The entire visit was so much fun and we will definitely be back to stay there next time!!
