I just returned from a week at WDW. The only footwear that I brought with me were Crocs (Beach, Disney, and Scutes). Even though Disney Crocs are the same as the Beach style, my Disney Crocs fit more loosely than my Beach of the same size. I'm glad that they did.
Being pregnant my feet are prone to swelling, but they swell while at the parks when I am not pregnant. For most of the trip I ended up wearing the Disney ones because they had a bit more room for the swelling. I recommend that anyone who is prone to swelling be sure that their Crocs have some extra room (or stretch them out if necessary). I wouldn't necessarily buy a larger size because if it is too big there could be problems, but they shouldn't be snug when not swollen. Allow for give.
Everytime that I have gone to WDW my feet have blistered and hurt. I've worn good quality tennis shoes, walking shoes, and Tevas. I've always had to wrap them up in Band-aids or moleskin. This was the first trip that I did not blister at all. I did not use anything on my feet prior to the parks and did not have any hot spots or blistering.
The Crocs were comfortable to a point. I found that my feet were much more comfortable on this trip than previously. Toward the end of the day once the swelling set in, my feet started to hurt but no shoe could have made them feel better. When they swell they hurt. But I lasted longer than I could have otherwise.
I was expecting the Crocs to do good, but I am surprised that I didn't need any Band-aids. I'm pleasantly pleased with them. Crocs are for sale everywhere at WDW. I saw them at resorts and every park.
The entire time that I was on my trip I used my Overland Donner Bag instead of a tote or purse. I really liked it. I was afraid that the strap would become bothersome and irritate my neck, but it didn't happen.
The main zipper area was big enough for me to carry sunscreen, a rolled up towel, a wet washcloth in a baggie, rain ponchos, and a hair brush with room to spare. The outer compartment was perfect for maps, brochures, receipts, etc. The flap held my cell phone, a watch on a keyring (I loved the attached fastener for keys), chap stick, and a container of mints. The zipper portion was roomy enough for my driver's license, credit card, room key, DDE card, and Annual pass. I even had an envelope folded with cash in it.
The bag was heavy once I loaded it down with stuff. So I did wear it across my body instead of just my shoulder. It kept sliding off my shoulder. Wearing it across my chest was comfortable and it didn't cause any discomfort on my neck (from the strap touching it from time to time).
The bag had plenty of room and would have worked great with anyone who tends to overpack for the parks. There was plenty of room for snacks too. I did like the water bottle holders on the side. I try not to overpack for the parks, and I appreciated the way it kept things organized.
Anyway..Crocs and Overland Donner bag get two thumbs up from me.
