Review of Coronado Springs Resort

Great review. I too love the CSR after a 2 night stay there in Oct. This time I am bringing my hubby along for a 4 night stay in May. I can't wait to hang out by the pool and relax.

Hi! I was really glad to read your review! I am booked at CSR in December, and I've never stayed at a mod before, so this is going to be a first for me. After reading your review, I am super excited to visit CSR! :thumbsup2

We just returned from our first stay at CSR this past Monday. We absolutely loved the resort! It is a gorgeous property with a great atmosphere. The rooms were nice, especially the comfy queen size beds! We loved the pool area and large hot tub. The bars and lounges were great as well, I loved the fact that they had an additional outside bar to relax at in addition to the pool bar. The bus service was also very good, we were at bus stop 2, which was great! I am hoping to stay at CSR again this coming Aug or Nov!

Your review is great , I can't wait to go now.

I have been apprehensive of a lot of recent reviews mainly that mousekeeping left a lot to be desired ,the size of the resort does not concern me -seems be a great issue for some people.

I gave my neice the choice of the 4 moderates we have previously stayed at CBR & loved it but she chose CSR - I think if I had chosen it would have been POR.

This time in 6 weeks we will just have arrived :dance3:

Yeah.. I was overall very impressed with the resort. Even though we didn't use the room service or spa on this trip, I loved the fact that it was there as an amenity if we wanted to use it ( the other mods don't have these features). The lounge Rix was also nice to have on the property...no need to go offsite for dancing or late nite drinks. Other than a slightly smaller room than the deluxe (and the outside doors) it really had a deluxe feel to it.

Our room was SPOTLESS everyday and the mouse-keepers were very friendly/helpful

Thanks for the review...I am looking forward to my own trip. Maybe 1 day, I can say I stayed at all of the resort hotels. Does CSR share buses with other hotels or do they go straight to the parks?

No shared buses...they go straight to the parks.

Ohhh, good to know! Our decision is between CSR and POP and I was under the impression that only POP had buses that go straight to the park, and that CSR shared buses with another resort.

This is the second person to talk about lugging luggage in the rain for check in.

I strongly suggest you park for check in and leave all the bags in the car. Once you have your room assignment, you can drive back to your room location and unload .. this is a MUCH better plan for most of the spread out resorts in the value / mod-range.

Thanks for posting your review. Our first time at CSR is less than 30 days, so right now I'm clammoring for great reviews to help me get super excited.

We ran into our first real "issue" at the check in counter. We had paid extra to insure that we would receive a king size bed...however we were told that our room was in fact NOT A KING. I tried to explain to the cast member that we paid extra for our room...however she insisted that their were NO KING'S available.

We love CSR, but something similar happened to us a few years ago. I paid extra for a waterview room, but upon check-in was given a standard view. I showed my confirmation that reflected the extra fee, but they insisted that no waterview was available and that my bill would be adjusted accordingly. I still wasn't happy so the CM called the supervisor who offered to move us to a different resort. I didn't want to do that as all our ADRs were based on staying at CSR...it was hot and we just wanted to start our vacation. So, we ended up staying...and had a nice view of the lion fountain, which is my absolutely favorite fountain. I don't know if there is a moral to the story, but what started out as "lemons" eventually turned into a nice sweet glass of lemonade!

Thanks for the review!! We'll be there in 70 days! I just switched from CBR to CSR last night and it was great to see your review (as well as others who think CSR is better.) The beds at CBR look more comfortable- and thats a must for us after a day in the park (esp. for a 10 day trip.) I'm also glad you enjoyed Pepper Market- I've seen a few mixed reviews of that. And..I'm SO glad they have Mickey waffles!! :cool1:
