As much as I love Disney, I found that my husband likes the food much better.
Breakfast
Boma
I realized that I dont eat enough for breakfast to participate in a breakfast buffet. I liked the atmosphere of Boma, but I found the buffet lines confusing. The food was good, but not outstanding. I would only eat there again if staying at AKL.
Highlights: The jungle juice they serve. My husband loved it!
Offering you a to go cup. Cape May did this as well
Cape May
For a character breakfast I was expecting more. The food was good and seemed to be of the same quality as Boma. Almost all of the restaurants we ate at seemed noisier than I would have liked. We were at the end of the character rotation, so we had to wait some time for them to visit. They were very good about taking pictures and even suggesting spots to stand up for a better background. I wasnt too thrilled about their beach costumes either. I will say that having the characters kiss you and you hear the sound kind of freaked me out.
Otherwise, it was a nice experience, but I would like to try another character dinner.
Highlights: No lines at the Buffet
Our server was very nice and efficient
Dinner
Alfredos (with CP Package)
This was my husbands favorite restaurant. We both had the alfredo pasta. I had a salad and my Dh had bean soup for our appetizer. For desert we both had the chocolate mouse. We had an earlier dinner reservation and found the restaurant almost deserted. It did begin to fill up as our meal continued. They did not rush us through our meal and our server was excellent. My Dh had wine and raved about it. Some have said that they felt the chairs were too close or the restaurant too noisy, but we didnt feel that way at all. The food was the best we had. We will be returning to this restaurant.
Highlights: Pasta was very good, as well as the wine
The package was well worth it to us
Mama Melroses (with Fantasmic Package)
This was a disappointment compared to Alfredos. The food was average and the place was very loud. The flat bread people rave about reminded me of a small grocery store pizza. I felt that the seats reserved for Fantasmic were not that great. Some parts we could hardly see because Mickey was hidden behind the rock. I did not feel that this restaurant was worth the expense of the Fantasmic Package. I dont think I got our monies worth out of this meal. I would rather eat at Tonys.
Cinderellas Royal Table (before MVMCP)
I have always wanted to eat at the castle. When we arrived I asked if we could be seating by the window and without hesitation she said yes. We split a salad and had the steak for dinner. I ordered my steak well and specifically said that I didnt want it crispy. My Dh ordered his med/well. My steak came out burnt and his seemed more well than med. It was good, but not the best I have ever had. For dinner I preordered the slipper desert. They didnt have a record of it noted on my reservation, but the chef ended up making one up for us anyway. It was the best desert I have had at WDW. This was a great place to eat before MVMCP because we were ready right after dinner to begin touring Frontier Land. We could see the crowds on Main Street but by us it was empty!
Highlights: Eating by the window
Seeing Cinderella downstairs. She took her time with us and was very much in character.
