We were in DL last week and did both the Goofy's Kitchen Dinner and Minnie's Breakfast at the Plaza Inn and I thought I would give my review of which we thought was better and such.

Price: 2 adults, 1 child

Goofy's Kitchen for Dinner w/ AAA 10% off: $89
Minnie's Breakfast at the Plaza Inn w/AAA 10% off: $56

Overall we were very unhappy with Goofy's for dinner, even though this was our 3rd trip. Every single time we say we aren't going back, but we keep going back. This time really will be our last. We weren't overly impressed with the food, we all ended up eating from the kids area and the dessert lacked flavor. Here is what they had:
Prime Rib
Mashed Potatoes
Mixed Veggies
Some Chinese dish
Fried Rice
Potstickers
Some pork dish
Navy Bean Soup
Macaroni Salad
Ceasar Salad
Chicken strips
Macaroni and Cheese
Spaghetti
Pizza (peanut butter/jelly, pepperoni)

We only saw a few characters: Goofy, Chip, Brair Fox, Pluto and some prince (no idea who he was, even his autograph didn't reveal his identity???)

Minnie and Friends, food was really really good and character interaction was great, service was great too.
Made to order omlettes
eggs
bacon
sausage (vegetarian too)
hashbrowns
biscuits and gravy
mickey waffles
french toast
assorted fruit
assorted muffins and pastries
bagels with cream cheese

Characters: Winnie the Pooh, Tigger, Minnie, Captain Hook, Chip and Dale and one or two others I can't think of right now.

Overall we thought Minnie's was a lot better, both character and food wise. Plus it was in the park so we didn't have a far walk. And a much better value for the money.

Thanks for sharing. It seems that Goofy's is better for breakfast, too. Dinner - not so good.:confused3

We were also at DL last week and ate at Minnies for breakfast with dinner at Goofys. We enjoyed both howeve there was so many more characters at Minnies! My dh even said you couldn't take two bites before there was another character. It was awesome.

ITA with your review, however we continue to go back to Goofy's too. Breakfast at Goofy's is much better than dinner and it's cheaper too. We also LOVE Minnie's. The atmosphere there is Disneyland to me. I think character breakfast meals are always better than the dinner ones, food and character wise.

Thanks for your review! I was trying to decide between the two and ultimately booked the Plaza breakfast. Glad to hear you had great food and awesome character interaction.

i went to both and I loved goofys..maybe becouse all week i had been wanting shrimp and they ahd it hehe but i thought some of the food i tryed wasnt grate. but the brekfest at goffys was better, and miniies was grate seeing it was a spear of the moment thing it was grate we saw all the pooh charcters except piglet, and we saw chip dale and hook and minie. I think the dinner was a little more rushed at goofys but the hostest at minnies was grate. Her name was jennel I belive and she made sure we saw all the charcters it was so nice.

We went to Minnies on Dec. 3rd for breakfast and loved it. We had 8 Characters stop by our table. The kids loved it and it was so worth the money. The Characters that we saw were: Minnie (of course lol), Tigger, Eeyore, Captain Hook, Goofy, Brair Fox, Cruella, Dale, and Fairy Godmother.

Thanks for your review! We went to Goofy's for the first time in January for dinner and were pretty unimpressed. I felt like the characters stopped by only long enough for the obligitory picture and then moved on. They didn't really do anything to engage us. Of course our 1 1/2 dd was being a MAJOR pill that meal, so maybe that affected our impression. It just seemed like everyone seemed to rave about it on here, so I probably expected more. We loved our visit to Ariel's Grotto, however.
We are going to DL in Feb and are going to try Minnie's this time. Really I prefer the characters that are there anyway. They are the more classic ones that make me think "Disneyland." I hope it is fun! We are also going to Ariel's again. This time dd will have a minor clue about who she is meeting, so that will be fun.

We tried Goofy's last Friday for dinner and I actually found the food quite good. What dissapointed me was that we were stuck way back in the corner and I literally had to hunt down characters and pull them back to our table. My DD3 was devastated when they would pass her by and it was annoying at best to have to continually interrupt my meal to corrale them! In addition, all of the action (macarena, bowl clanging) happens out front. Otherwise, I think it would have been a great experience.
