Hi All, just back from our Western Cruise. Anyone who is going to go to Grand Cayman, make sure you book an excursion. The island still is in such a devastated state after the hurricanes. We opted to do the island on our own, big big mistake. Other than the water being beautiful that was it, we battled caution tape, rubbish, and had to work between collapsing buildings. After returning to the ship, those who had excursions were thrilled, so lesson learned, pay the extra $$$ for Grand Cayman. Also we did the Dolphin encounter in Conzumels Chaakanaab Park, amazing, I highly suggest this excursion. The ship was wonderful as always, to all who are cruising soon enjoy.

We will be doing the Western next year at the same time, and we were wondering about the weather at the different ports. Thanks. :confused3

I was on the same cruise. My husband and other gentleman in our party went to stingray city and snorkeling for $25 each with NativeWay and had a fantastic time. They can't wait to go again.

My girlfriend and I walked around Georgetown, and then took the 'city bus' (really a van) out to the west end and back for $10 each. We were going to go to the east end in the afternoon but that's a two hour round trip and I was out of energy. Some people on the bus rode it out to a place on 7 mile beach. It only cost them about $3.00 for one way.

We looked on it as an adventure and had a great time.

I'm very interested in the weather as well. Were the seas rough? Hey, Lizardman ... we're planning to be on your cruise, too. We can't wait. The boys (ages 8 and 10) have been talking about it all through Christmas!

Thanks for the update!
