Well, I have not read any reviews so I thought I would share our experience! We went to see The Avengers and did the whole dine in theater experience. The movie part is fabulous. The seating is assigned by purchase, so when you get your tickets you see what seats are taken and pick where you will be seated. The seating is arranged in groups of 4, so no matter where you sit you can always get out to use the restroom without interuppting too many people. The seats are big and comfy, there is a pole you can put your feet up on, and the seats lean back. The tables to eat are in front of you and require you to sort of lean forward which was ok but would not work for long periods of time.

Ok, you get seated and order your drinks right away. They have a call light you can press if you need your waiter or a refill during the movie. They fully explained how it all works at the begginning and our waiter was very nice and prompt with our sodas. We ordered an appetizer, potato skins, they were ok, your basic fare. We then figured we would be safe and order chicken finger baskets. I got the onion rings and my husband got the parmesean fries with his. The chicken strips were disgusting! Pressed fake chicken. Very poor quality. Weird rubber chewy things in them, barf. Onion rings had a sweet tasting batter, could have been good if they were not soggy. They were totally soggy. I did not say anything to my husband I did not want to complain. He said " this is gross". He agreed with me on the chicken fingers and the special parmesean fries are just soggy fries with parmesean cheese dumped on. Way too soggy. Neither of us ate any of the entree other than the first two bites. Gross!!! The food check was about $50 so it was overpriced and bad food.

So here is the verdict. The seating and theater was great. The food was not good. I would recommend just appetizers, or you can go with popcorn and drinks like a normal movie. We decieded we would do this again, but just do popcorn and sodas, or apps and adult drinks. No more crappy overpriced food. Yuck. Next time we will do dinner first somewhere good. Like Earl of Sandwich which is way less expensive and way better.

Few other things
- the eating all took place at the beginning of the movie so there were not a lot of interuptions even though other guests were calling for refills etc. We hardly noticed it.
- I did not enjoy 3d and eating. I like to look at my food. Maybe I am weird.
- The place was empty when we were there, I am not sure I would have enjoyed having another twosome so close eating food. lol.
- perhaps some of the other entrees are good? Please let me know!
-some of the other patrons did drink a lot of alcohol and they got a bit noisy toward the end, but not too bad.

thank you for the review! my bf and i have been wanting to try this place for the longest time !

So sorry to hear you had a bad meal at Fork and Screen. Just to offer up another view, DH and I went last October and it was fabulous. We split the potato skins which were great. He had a pepperoni pizza and it was delicious. I had the chicken mac and cheese and I'm still dreaming about it. I can't wait to go back again this October. I only hope there is something worth seeing.

Actually the food was much better than the movie we saw, Ides of March. I totally fell asleep, something I never do in movies. Must have been the full stomach, comfy chairs and dim lighting.

DBf and I were thinking of stopping by here for a movie and some food. How dark is the lighting? Can you see what you're eating?

We have a Showcase Cinema de Lux where I live and it's very similar, but it sounds like the food is better. I wouldn't say it's fantastic, and it's definitely pricey (about the same $50), but I haven't had anything there yet that I would classify as "gross".

If you have a chance to try a Showcase de Lux (with the Lux Level seating), I recommend it and hope that you don't decide against it because of your bad AMC experience.

BTW...Showcase Lux Level is 21+. Is that the case with the AMC?

I believe AMC is 18+ unless with a parent.

Showcase is 21+, no matter what. (There is a bar/lounge area and you can order alcohol to be delivered to your seats too.)

Even Justin Bieber couldn't get up there when he was 16...although he tried.
True story. My friend used to work there. He was in town for a concert, opening for Taylor Swift at Gillette Stadium. Patriot Place is a shopping/entertainment center that surrounds the stadium and that is where the Showcase de Lux is. Apparently while he was there, he wanted to go to a movie and they tried to get into the Lux but were told 21+ only. So they went to the regular theater and then him and his bodyguard tried to climb over the wall that separates the 2 areas so he could sit there. They were escorted out. She said that he used the "don't you know who I am line" too, but it didn't get him anywhere.

We ate there last October, we loved it. We got the paresarm fries and the crap dip. The crab dip had celery flavor so I didn't like my hubby liked it. We also got the chicken and mac an cheese it was one of the best thing I have eaten. I loved bring able to get refills by a push of a buton. I can't wait to go again

:crazy2: Eew! (to what I highlighted above)

shame the food wasnt better but thanks for reviewing. We did wonder about trying this one afternoon lasst year when we experienced our first ever rain at WDW in a morning. Luckily it was fine by afternoon.

The seating is really awkward. It's comfortable to sit and watch a movie, but it's an odd position to eat in. You can't really get right up to your food.
