Damo! That's too funny! :rotfl:

coasterfreak-April was the *ideal* opening month, but it has been pushed back to May.

And the cars may look like what Damo posted, or they might look like this:

or this:

Just open the top and add wheels. :jester:

I am LOL so hard I am FALLING ON THE FLOOR!!:hyper:

would that be an acronym of FOTF?

Screamscape is reporting that the title has been changed to "revenge of your mommy" and instead of a coaster you just get sent to your room without dinner.

LOL!!!

yes...they are strict here about spelling and GRAMMAR (I spelled it correctly this time damo! :teeth: :p :p)...I know from personal experience ;)

We almost had to ban you Flyfly. But the GB's all signed a petition and we had to let you keep posting.

Marauder -

We will be there the first week in June. Is there any danger that Mummy might not be open by then? We don't want to come until it is open, so we could push our vacation back if we need to...but I have good rates on rooms right now and I'd probably lose those.

Thanks for any info.

I also booked June 15th and 16th just after the kids are out of school. Rumor has it, the ride will be testing the first two weeks of April. That's Spring break for some. But I wouldn't book a trip based on rumors. Thus, the June trip when school is out.

IMHO, I think the Mummy will open in April so it can be the major ride opening. Problem is, USF is not letting anyone know. So guess what? People from up north are not booking trips to come down. People need a month to book a trip.

Example. I just saw an ad for a west coast event at SFMM. It's being held March 7th. I booked it today, a month in advance. The plane rides are less, there are seats on the plane, and I can plan. For some reason, the marketing department thinks everyone can plan a trip and execute it in a week. Like I'm going to see a commercial, and boom, drive up the next day. It doesn't work like that. Trips are planned months in advance.

USF should be telling people an estimated opening date of the Mummy ride now, and running ads up north, before CP opens in May.

I think with the bad experiences that Universal has encountered with opening other rides on time, they try to be cautious. They've already pushed dates back a month.

Thats a wonderful article, Barry!

It sounds like an interesting ride. I like the way you compared the coasters to the upcoming ride.

This sounds very interesting. Of course, I have to ask the obvious, what do you think the height requirement will be? (I have to think of my littlest one!)

Rumors I've heard:

soft opening/tech rehersal may or may not start in Late March
May 16th may or may not be the Grand Opening date
the height requirement may or may not be 48"

Again, all the above information may be true, or it may not. We shall see...

or maybe not:p

DM are you sure you are not an economist?

That's funny damo!
Maybe DM's a future politician.... then again, ...
