Revenge of the Mummy... Hmmm

The Mummy is like RnRC except without the big launch at the start and all the loops and stuff.

The mummy still has a "launch" if you want to call it that. After all the "story" areas of the ride (you basically are flat for the first roughly minute of the ride) you will come to a hill. You speed up this hill starting slowly but by the time you reach the top of the hill, you are going roughly the max speed of the ride (somewhere around 35 mph). Its not nearly as sudden as RnRC.

For me, the mummy is a ride not to be missed! The worst part of the ride for me is the line! I hate it when the TM hide around the corners so you can't see them and jump out! I took me forever to get the courage to just walk into the line, lol. Most of the time they do not do this, but they have gotten me more than once in my roughly 30 times of riding it. If you could handle RnRC (even with the launch) you will be more than OK on this. Its really tame compared to RnRC.

The mummy is fantastic. I love roller coasters however. This is about the only roller coaster my parents will still ride in their old age *snickers* theyre only 47 and 56 but act 95 and 100. :rotfl2:

Which one are we talking about now? If you tell me Mummy, I'm going to cry.

I like RnRc MUCH more than space mountain- I just can't face the fear I have on that initial start-up. I heard the Hulk is the same start-up... just shooting you straight up. (yeah, that another one I'll never do.)
The RnR launch is probably the "worst" of all in this comparison scenario. You're just sitting there, not moving, then the "countdown" happens and you get launched forward from 0-60 in under 3 seconds and straight into an inversion. There is plenty of time to get nervous/psyched out on this.

Hulk's launch often catches people by surprise. You're moving up the launch tube at about 5mph, while the audio cues play. Once you hit the "point of no return" you get launched from 5mph-45mph in under 2 second and into a zero-g roll + 100 ft drop. There is almost no time to think about the launch or when it will happen.

Mummy's launch is tame and pretty obvious. The backwards drop catches people off guard more (and that's a 10ft drop!). Once the coaster does its 180* turn, it climbs the hill, the LIMs activate, and Imhotep "eats" you. You go from about 5mph-40mph in about 2 seconds as well.
