reuseing refillabale mugs at HIFS

Hi, we will be returnig to HIFS in Feb. 2004. We bought the refillable mugs on our last trip in 2002. Can we use them on our next trip? Has anyone done this?

From what I've read around here, I don't believe you're supposed to, but many people do.
