Hi
On an earlier thread I read some great stuff about Reunion resort. I think it was UkDeb who said it was fab, hi Deb :wave2:

We were considering renting a villa at Windor Hills next April but now I have looked at the website for Reunion...wow!!!!!!!!

Anyone stayed at a villa with pool there and can direct me to a website? I know i can go a general search, just thought it might be nice to see villas people have used. Also interested in Windsor Hills villas.

Thanks so much!
Mandy :)

Hi Mandy,

There are Windsor Hills one's on the websites below.

Reunion is an exclusive resort (uber-exclusive I think Deb calls it!). She may be concerned that people are looking at it, the secret has slipped out ;)

In terms of villa developments, we generally because there are just the 3 of us look at very nice villa developments such as for example Indian Creek.
Find IC ideal for us and well located. Probably stay at either of the 'Windsors' next year for a change.

The likes of Windsor Palms and Windsor Hills are probably just in a slightly higher league, but Reunion is in the 'Premiership'.

Be wary of who you book with (sure Deb will advise), because it can be very expensive to stay there.

Hi Mandy

I was the starter of the other thread.

Whilst I was looking around for condos at Reunion, I found some on VRBO (which UKDEB suggested). There are also some villas there too - http://www.vrbo.com/vacation-rental...ntral-disney-orlando/kissimmee/reunion-resort

I, personally, am looking to book directly through the resort - since rentals directly with owners don't tend to include maid service. But if you are prepared to keep the house fairly shipshape and make your own beds, then there are some great prices on VRBO.

I haven't stayed there yet, so can't make any personal recommendations - but maybe someone else has and can.

Considering the size of Reunion, there aren't that many homes available to rent privately. I guess most people either don't rent them out at all, or do so through the Reunion rental programme. Development on the east side of the I-4 is more-or-less complete and that's where most of the properties you'll come across will be. Development on the west side is still in the very early stages.

On the east side, the private homes (excluding the condos) are split between 3 distinct "neighbourhoods" wrapped around the Watson and Palmer golf courses (the Nicklaus is on the west side).

Homestead comprises the biggest and most upmarket homes - they call them Estate Homes. We've stayed in 2 beautiful homes here. Within Homestead, there are 2 "classes" of home - custom built and pre-fabs. Most people wouldn't be able to tell the difference, but the pre-fabs are cheaper to buy (and thus tend to be slightly cheaper to rent).

Liberty Bluff features homes which won design awards for fitting a lot of house in a narrow plot. They comprise a main structure (some are 2 storey, others 3), with a courtyard containing the pool behind that, and then a second "carriage house" which is effectively a self-contained unit (would be great for anyone wanting to take parents or teenage kids). These are also very big homes and are all custom built. Up until a few days ago, I've never been able to find one of these to rent privately.

This is a picture of one. This is all one house:

The homes at Patriot's Landing are described as "Key West Style". They're very pretty clapperboard houses painted in pastel colours. There are several of these out there to rent privately.

Here is where we stayed in January, 2006. The home we stayed at in October last year doesn't have a website as it's not technically available to rent. The photos I took aren't great, although I do have some which Kev (Stringer) took and, with his permission, I'll post some later.
