Our first family holidy was in the UK a trip to a place called centre parcs an area of the UK we fell in love with so much so we are hoping to move that way in the next 6 months.

That summer also led to ds1's baptism during the preparation for which we were ever so slightly pestered by the priest that we should really get married in keeping with the catholic faith, so that is what we planned to do with just 6 months notice, (we had already got engaged in Vegas so it was on the cards we just got a helpful shove.)

Up next wedding photos....

This is what we woke up to this morning

we had a great morning just playing in the snow, shame it is all starting to melt now rather rapidly, but that does mean ds1 will be able to go to his friends bd party this afternoon.

Great baby pix..

Snow in April? Yikes...and it wasn't just a dusting either.......

The pictures are beautiful and the little one is sooo cute.

Love the pictures of the snow.

Just looking at your list of restaurants makes me want to plan my next trip to Disney. I have great memories of Tonys and the Coral Reef. Do not forget to call about the special menu for Birthdays at the Coral Reef.

I know we havent had any snow here all winter :confused3 the news reports have been so funny starting off by talking about snow in april but then telling us we ar ein for the hottest yr in history  as long as we dont have a repeat of the horrendous flooding from last yr.

Thanks for commenting on the pictures, i think ds1 is cute but then im biased!!

As promised photos from my wedding but be warned they are quite a lot of them!!!

We got married on a beautiful september day, the church we got married at once belonged to the boarding school my dh went to and the monk who married us was one of his former teachers. Unfortunatley the school closed down a few yrs ago and was brought up by a property developer and turned into luxery flats but the church and monestary still remain.
In case anyone is interested here is a link to their website.

A bit of side info on this area, this is also the location where the internal shots of the boarding school from 3 men and a little lady was filmed. Dh was still at school when this was shot and all the boys got a day off from lessons for them to film!! The external shots were done elsewhere in the UK.

We held the reception at an old country estate nearby which was where i also got ready that day. It also had 14 bedrooms which meant the family could all stay over.

With my dad just about to get in out car and head to the church. I have a phobia of being late so we ended up getting there 2 minutes early which meant sitting in the carpark waiting for everyone to take their seats in church

The church is magnificent inside and huge, even with over a 100 people inside it still looked empty, we also had a organ player and the acoustics in this place are unbelievable, the music sounded amazing and really made the day for me.

part 4 to come...

the meal was held in a marquee attached to the house, if you haven't worked out already the colour scheme was pink and white. Insteas of floral centrepeices we had ballons, which later in the night once a few drinks had been consuned led to lots of high pitched voices from helium inhalation.

The favours we had were sticks of blackpool rock which had our names and the date written through them, they tasted of strawberry and cream and were delicious, people were eating them all night!!! we also had mini packs of love hearts on the table and little love heart confetti. we also had disposable cameras on each table which lead to an interesting collection of photos for me and dh to look back on!!
We didnt have a top table instead we had a centreal middle table which was for the bridal party and worked really well.
54788-8478.jpg

Our cake was a chocolate cake with chocolate fudge icing and it was to die for.

Wedding035.jpg

after lots of toasts and speeches and giving of bridal presents, we headed into the dance hall for the first dance:
robkirstie067.jpg

Wedding042.jpg

Our first dance was to a Backstreet Boys song called I Promise You (from the bottom of my heart) the lyrics were just perfect

The partying continued long into the night and it was one of the most amazing days of my life up there with having my 2 boys. I so wish i could do it all again!!!

we didnt have our honeymoon until 4 months later as we wanted to go skiing in Norway and wasnt the most romantic as we took ds1 with us, but it was a magical memorable time.

photos of this is to come

Aw man I am jealous!!! I never get to see snow anymore! :sad2:

Your wedding pictures are just gorgeous!!!!!

well after that brief interlude thought i had better get some disney thoughts in here!! (though i will post some pictures from my honeymoon when i get a chance) ;)

Well do you want the good news or the bad news??

Good news is we spoke to Virgin our tour operator as i had noticed in there brochure that there was a free car upgrade for people staying on disney resort, though they had failed to mention this to us when we booked:confused3 , and all they had given us was a compact car (dodge caliber). so rang them up and yes we can get upgraded to a minivan for free just needed to pay for the upgrade on the insurance which was £100. well last yr to upgrade our car cost over £300 so of course we said yes!!. means now we have no worries about fitting all the luggage in when we get there plus its all paid for so dotn have to upgrade once we get there and take money out of our souvenior fund :thumbsup2

The bad news is they have messed up on ds2's date of birth and made him a year older than he really is as apperently for him to have his own seat the system wont accept him if he is under 2 so they made him a yr older so they could book his extra seat even though they do have specific infant chairs on the plan (for under 2 with their own seat) :headache: Luckily i have noticed it and so we are now trying to get it sorted as obviously the tickets etc have to match his dob in the passport otherwise he wont be able to fly. luckily we have a few months to work it all out, just means i cant do my advance passenger notification for US immigration as the dob put on their system by virgin is wrong  If your confused so am I that just better sort it out!!!!!!!

ADRS are pretty much decided on as previuosly posted so just have to hold tight till next month.

We have also worked out how much money to save each month to cover food etc, the cost of the holliday itself is already saved for, just means the more i save now the more i will have to spend in the outlet malls :cool1:

Oh and i will be having another trip to plan for after this one as the inlaws and my parents have defiantly decided they want to go next yr, looking at the last week of may first week of June, the only thing is they have decided amongst themselves that they want to stay on resort this time so it wont be the cheap trip we though it was going to be, oh well luckily dh got his payrise and promotion:)

Hey Kirsty just found your pre-trippie and loving it so far. Your pictures are lovely and your sons are so gogeous. The pictures of them at Disney are just magical, especially the one with Pooh.

My boyfriend and I love traveling like you and your DH did. Unfortunately we took the lethal step and went to Disney World in 2006 and now we can't go anyway else... we try but it just keeps pulling us back. Your traveling pictures are great, it sounds like you went to some amazing places, and quite different ones too.

And what is with our weather this year. I heard on the radio about 2 days after all the snow that that exact time the year before it was 20 degrees and a week later it was a record of 26 degrees. I remember being at the races on Easter weekend and everyone was in dresses and suntops and this year it was jackets and scarfs. Saying that the past few days have been quite nice, still a little chilly though.

Cant wait to hear about more of your plans.

Oh and your wedding looked amazing and the pictures are great. Cant wait to see your honeymoon ones.

:wave2: Hi there, thank you for coming and reading. Thanks for the nice comments on the photos, last yr was such a magical trip for us, ds2 who was only 5 mths there just loved all the characters which surprised us and the characters always interacted so well with him playing peek a boo etc.

We still plan to do some more travelling, just waiting for the boys to get a bit bigger

OMG the weather is just crazy, the last few days in the morning there has been frost but by lunchtime is a lovely spring day :confused3 Just hope the weather is going to be as hot as they predicted for the summer and doesnt end up being a wash out like last yr.

thanks for saying hi again and hope oyu will continue to read and enjoy my rambling!! ;)

Kirstie,

I didn't quite understand the whole dob mess up, but i hope it all gets worked out in the end.

I think I remember you saying that you'd be taking another trip next year as well....i think I also mentioned that I'd be going in May or June 09. Unfortunately, it'll either be in early may or mid june. So we'll miss each other by a week or two...:sad2:

Tell me about the rubbish summers. I am betting that the best weather we are going to have this year will be from April 28th - May 22nd, you see we always have the nicest weather when DBF and I are on holiday. We went to Thailand for 3 weeks in 2004 and when we came back everyone was browner than us... it happened to be one of the nicest summers ever.

I always thought that taking kids too young to WDW was a bit pointless as they wouldn't be able to remember much, but then I read about someone who took their children when they were young all the time and she said that although he probably wont remember any of it she will always have those magical memories of how much fun they had and how much fun she had sharing it with them. That sold me straight away... and looking at your pics you look like you have some really magical memories to remember for years to come.

Cant wait for the next update

I will remember those dates, better get some sunscreen. :lmao:

Before we had the boys i was one of those that thought taken small kids was pointless but then i saw the joy on ds1 face the first time he went and we thought so what if he doesnt rememebr it forever, dh and i will and the pictures and video we have you cant put a price on. ds1 still talks about the trip last yr (he is 3) and loves looking at photos of him and the characters and can name then all (he is a real disney addict) and im sure ds2 will be the same!!!

I dont get the whole dob mess either, but dh phoned them and spoke to a manager and they are working things out.

it will be a shame that it looks like we are going to miss each other next yr, would have been fun to grab a beer at espn one night,

I did forget that fact that you usually stay a few weeks. If that's the case next year. There's an outside chance that we'll see each other....
