Returning Our MNSSHP Tickets?

My mother is sick and getting worse :sad1: We have our Disney vacation planned for the end of October, and I don't know if she will make it till then, and even if she does, we don't know if she will be up for it. We have insurance on the hotel and tickets (not the airfair, but oh well), so thats not an issue, but I have paid about $360 for all of us to attend MNSSHP. We planned on picking them up once we got there, and have them being held for us, so we don't physically have them.

So my question is, if we call Disney and explain to them our situation, will they refund our money?
 
MNSSHP tickets are generally nonrefundable. You could try explaining it to them, but don't count on getting a refund. A few years ago or so, we went to the party and almost everything was cancelled because of a downpour that last nearly the entire party. Even then they wouldn't give a refund. Instead, they offered a one day ticket to the Magic Kingdom or a ticket to either a future Halloween party or the Christmas party. That was fine for us, we used it for MVMCP tickets the following year.
 
So sorry that your Mother is ill. As pp said the party tickets are non-refundable. We had tickets for MVMCP last year and had to cancel our trip when I called to cancel the reservation they would not refund the tickets so I ended up giving them to another family here on the DIS who were going to be there at the same time and could use them.
Good Luck maybe since you do not actually have the tickets in hand yet they will let you cancel them.
 
You should also call the airline and explain the situation; they may let you pay a fee to put the price of the tickets toward future flights.

I'm so sorry about your mom. I hope she rallys and you're able to have that trip with her.
 

I am sorry that your mother is ill. You can contact WDW Ticketing should something happen and they will work with you.
 
Last year I pre-purchased Christmas party tickets for the night I got back from cruise. In the park days before the cruise and while I was on the cruise, I was sort of sick. Tired, run down, lost my voice. Was't much up for the party.

I asked at the resort (Kidani) front desk and they very easily refunded my money to my credit card.

I hope you are able to do the same.
 
Sorry to hear about your mother. I purchased tickets a few years ago and I had to get a refund and they did give me one. It does say they will not but you can always call and ask and explain it to them.

I don't know what airline you are using, but don't give up asking them to work with you.

I have found Southwest, who now owns AirTran, to have wonderful customer service. LUV ya' SWA!
 
Last Year, We had MNSSHP-Tickets, but my wife died 3 days before our trip.
I called Disney and explaned it, I got my money back without a problem!
