returning merchandise to disney

Does anyone know if you can return items to the stores at Downtown Disney without a receipt? I bought the Disney Dooney large tote and want to return it to get the medium tassel tote instead but threw away the receipt with the bag!

I am not sure about the stores at Downtown Disney. In June my hubby accidently picked up a scrapbook, when I wanted a photo album, we did not have the reciept, it still had the price tag on it, we returned it a few weeks ago and got the photo book I had originally wanted, no problem!! They even gave us cash back because the scrapbook was more!!

Dh decided to go on a diet at the beginning of this year. We were in WDW Dec 08 where we bought quite a few shirts in 2XL. Well after losing 90lbs, he couldn't wear them at all. Most still had tags but no receipts. They gave DH a store card to use to get new shirts. They were very nice about it but I think impressed with how much weight he had lost! He now wears a size L. I think if you go down and ask, it won't hurt. If you put it on a credit card, I think you can call the card for a copy of the receipt.
