I didn't know where to ask this sorry if it's in the wrong place. I ordered some stuff from disney.com a week or so ago and I want to return something. It's a park authentic item. I don't really want to ship it back and we are going to disney in a week so I was wondering if i could return it at the world of disney in dtd. can i do that??

Read the return policy on the website. There are usually requirements for the correct process and some won't accept any deviations.

I know the rules used to be that anything you bought at the parks could be returned to any Disney Store and anything bought at Disney Stores could be returned to the park. Then for a while, you could only return to World of Disney, if bought at a Disney Store.

Now it appears, that you can return to any Disney Store (which would most likely mean that theme parks are out, but the World of Disney might still work). But there are limitations, as follows:
Returns or exchanges can be made in any US Disney Store location, excluding Personalized Items, Art, Collectibles, Disney Parks merchandise, Mirrors, Electronics, and Indoor and Outdoor Furniture. All returns must have the original packing slip/receipt with the merchandise to be returned or exchanged.

So, you might be out of luck, since it is a park item. My suggestion is to call and ask.

Now, Disney is usually good about accepting returns without a receipt, providing they are still sold at the stores, but you will get merchandise credit only.

Also, please note that it is a 30 day return policy now (purchase in the parks used to be unlimited, then 6 months, then 120 days, now down to 30).

I bought a dress in May for my daughter that was supposed to be a child's 14. I got the dress, and the paper tag said it was a 14, but the cloth neck tag said it was a 10. My daughter couldn't get it over her chest b/c she is 12, and well...her body has changed. I called them, and it was their last dress. It was a Disney Parks authentic. I was able to return it to our local Disney store with no issues. While we were there we picked up some stuffed animals for less than we would've paid in the parks. I then ordered the same dress in the correct size off of ebay. It worked out well. I had to drive about 20 minutes to get to the Disney store for the exchange, but it was worth it in the end to have the money back to be able to buy the other dress. Good luck!

Yes, you can as long as it is a Disney Parks item..they will not take Disney Store items. I believe you have to go to the World of Disney store in DTD...you will likely have to ask for a manager though as some of the CMs are not familiar with the Disney.com return policy for the Disney Parks items, probably becuase they don't see it very often.

Have a great trip!!!
