Returning from Cruise and Luggage Question

The day we return from the cruise we are hoping to buzz over to Disney and fly home super late. Can we still use the onboard luggage check in?

You can only use it if you have DCL transfers (to airport) booked, or you booked your flights through DCL.

Are you renting a car? You could keep your luggage in your car (that's what we did). Or, there are luggage storage services, such as:

@Fladis32 .... we’ve used happy limo before and they will store luggage. You might want to check and see if whatever transportation provider you are using will store your luggage for u

But as has been pointed out, you have to have DCL transfers to the airport (and/or have booked your flights through them). So you would have to take a car service of some type (Lyft, Uber, taxi, some other car) to WDW and back for the day as DME requires a resort reservation.

Right...I as just adding that ontop of that that you need to be flying on a qualifying airline. Surprised Southwest wasn't included, tbh.

DCL did a test month with Southwest a while ago. The program wasn't continued past the test.

We used Orlando Baggage Storage located near Disney on our last cruise and spent the day at Disney Springs. They bag storage is FREE as long as you are storing bags just for the day. If you want the bags delivered to the airport there is a fee but we picked up our bags on the way back to the airport.

Looking to do something pretty similar. Surprised to hear that their same-day is free... I assume they are just storing for tips in that scenario? Almost sounds too good to be true!

The free same day luggage storage is provided courtesy of the Lake Buena Vista Factory Stores Outlet Mall where Orlando Baggage Storage is located but you have to ask for the free same day storage.
