Returning DAS user

How does it work when someone returns to Disney after using DAS? Is it already in the system when they go to guest services on their first park day? Circumstances surrounding the need haven't changed. Will we still have to explain, or will we have to do that again? Would just like to know what to expect. We last went in 2019. Thanks!

You need to go to GS. Just tell them you want to renew your DAS

It lasts for 30 days. After that it needs to be renewed with a visit to guest services.

You may still be asked to explain your reasons for needing a DAS when you ask to renew. Sometimes they ask you questions when you try to renew and sometimes they don't, it depends on the cast member.

The DAS last for 60 days you may or may not need to explain your needs again they may or may not retake your picture

I was there earlier this month (last visit was March 2020). I have an AP though, so was still tied that that. I just said I needed to renew it and they asked if I remember how it worked and when I said yes, it was completed maybe a minute or 2 later.

We have always just gone and said we needed to renew our DAS and had it done. We haven't needed to further explain.

The last time DH went to renew, the system automatically made it valid for 90 days.....he said that even the CM was surprised.
