Returning Cruiser gift and DU gift question

What is the gift you are getting now for being a return cruiser?
Also I booked through DU and it says if there are 8 families booked for your cruise through them you all get a gift...we have 6 right now so hoping for 2 more! What is the gift you get from them?? I am hoping one is a towel so I don't have to pack one with me, I hate those tiny pool and beach towels that they have on the ship.

I believe the return cruiser gift is a Beach towel... 1 per stateroom. we have one and it very nice
the gift from dreams was a try of fancy deserts chocolate covered strawberrys and and other little deserts and a bottle of Non alcoholic champagne was very goood i drank it...

I didn't know there was a return gift. What are the stipulations? Did you have to book the current cruise while on the old one? How will they know that we are returning Dis cruisers? Thanks for your info.

Our 2nd cruise was December of 2000, it was a 7 day, so it has been a while... we got a DCL bag and mug. Very nice and then there was a return cruise party. Also since we are DVC we were invited to a DVC party and got DVC hats.

You didn't have to book right away to get your return cruiser, just use your castaway cay memeber number when booking. When i booked for our 3 rd cruise in January of this year, I just gave then my numbers for the records but Disney had them in the database already.

We received a sportsbag & bottle from the Casataway Club and a "treasure chest" from DU, containing some sodas, candy, chocolate, a small bottle of wine, cheese and crackers, and a sausage.
We have 42 families, who booked through DU so far - So I think we will get a sportscar (Preferrably a Corvette) this time

Thanks for the info - I am calling our travel agent to make sure that she used our Castaway number and hopefully we will get too. That sounds wonderful.

Sorry for the stupid questions, but do you mean 8 or more under one big group reservation? Or do you mean my husband and I could be one of 8 DU reservations they have?

you only have to be one of eight families - they all don't have to be the same reservation. We only had two rooms books, but there were more DU clients and we got the sailaway gift - very nice!

The current Castaway Club gift is the beach towel.

The DU gift for those sailing when DU has 8 or more staterooms booked on a particular sailing is generally a tray of petit fours and a bottle of sparkling cider.

We also got the petit fours, but I like what Viking said they got ("treasure chest" from DU, containing some sodas, candy, chocolate, a small bottle of wine, cheese and crackers, and a sausage). I think the wine sounds better than the sparkling cider. Viking's gift sounds like it had more of the things most would like to snack on. It would be great to just get a nice bottle of wine instead of the food anyhow since it is so expensive on the ship. Besides, we ate enough food on the cruise....

we just got back from a 3 day Wonder cruise...are booking again for next May...I keep reading that if you're a Castaway club member you receive a Beach Towel for taking another cruise with Disney...How do you become a Castaway club member?

You will automatically become a member after your first cruise. They will send you something in the mail within 6 weeks with your Castaway Club info, card, and number. That's what happened with us when we went.

With all your cruises you could almost open up a concession stand selling Castaway Club towels and pins to pay for you next cruise.
What on earth do you do with all of them?
