Just in case anyone isn't aware, Toys R Us changed their return policy this summer-they will not accept ANY returns without a receipt, not even for store credit. My dd7 got a duplicate gift for her b-day this past Sept-had received the same thing last Christmas from her aunt. Toys R Us is the only place in town currently carrying this toy. I was told no receipt-no return. They told me I had to ask the gift giver for a gift receipt. I think that's rude even if it's someone I'm close to, but this gift was from a little girl in my daughter's class and her parents don't even speak fluent English, so how on earth am I supposed to get a gift receipt from them? I ended up purchasing another one of the items, so I got my real receipt and a gift receipt. Then I returned the one I bought with my original receipt, and went back and returned the other one a few days later with the gift receipt for store credit. What a pain in the neck, but I feel they did that to themselves when they changed their policy!
