I'm in a pickle, so I've come to the DIS (which can solve all of life's problems, or so I've noticed). Mom and I are going to WDW. No, that's not the pickle. She's flying from Boston and I am coming from Chicago. I booked our flights in July. Found flights arriving within an hour of each other, and departing similarly. Well, schedules changed. Her flight home now leaves MCO at noon. Mine leaves at 8 pm!! I do not want to sit at the airport for 9 hours (Mom has to be picked up from resort at 10ish)! I can't change her flight, so I'm thinking to have the towncar pick her up for her flight, so that leaves me needing a way to the aiport for my flight. What would you do? Taxi, Mears shuttle, more towncar? The extra $ for transport would be worth it for me to not have to hang out at MCO, but I don't want to spend more than I have to. Ack! I don't know... I also feel bad sending Mom to the airport on her own. Maybe I should just go with her and try to fly standby on an earlier flight. Any suggestions?

Call a day or two before your return flight and ask the airline how full the earlier flight is. That should give you a good idea if you should ride to the airport earlier to go standby.

A taxi ride is about $50 not including tip.
