Yes sirs and ma'ams, a few hours ago, I returned from WDW and now I'm ready to write the report. Days 1 and 2 today, tomorrow 3, 4, 5. I'm trying to be a bit nicer in this one and since I remember more of this trip than my B-Day trip last year, I can more accurately describe everything.

The Characters:
Ash (me)- The youngest one on this trip. Likes odd hats, Kingdom Hearts (2, CoM), and The Nightmare before Christmas. Dislikes kids running down the halls at night.
Mom- The 2'nd eldest. Hates having her picture taken, likes cats, Johnny Depp, and churros. Also, Kelly (NOT Kelly Clarkson. It's just "Kelly") and "her" song about Shoes.
Dad-The oldest. Has a firefighter/Donald duck pin collection on his fanny pack. Likes Donald Duck, anything that has the words "Fire Depot." and "Chief" on it. Dislikes screaming children.

Day One: July 25th, 2006
In the car, 7:00 AM or so. In the car, I watched Final Fantasy VII, Advent Children while Mom and Dad chatted. 2 hrs later when we approached the Beach Club's gate, I was ECSTATIC.
Dude at gate: "Hello"
Dad: "Hi...”
Me: "Sup homie?" (That was ignored)
*Yap yap... go through... yapyapyap...*
Dude at gate: "Enjoy your stay"
Dad: "Ok"
Me: "Thanks, dude!" (Ignored AGAIN.)
So we park and walk over. I'm going fast, being all bubbly and happy (that's rare) and when we get to the desk, our room is not ready yet. So, we were kind of hungry and we scoured the resort for food. I noticed a little shop that seemed to be bustling with activity, the sorts that you'd expect to find food in. But, I ignore it and followed the rents. Cape May needed reservations, so we passed by that, headed out the door, and then I saw it. Stormalong Bay. It was looking like a good place to come back to. Beaches 'n Cream, closed till 11. And we ended up going all the way to the Yacht Club just to go to a little thing selling muffins and the likes. I suggested just walking over to the BoardWalk's bakery and eat some of those super yum twisty doughnuts, but this was ok.

The muffins tasted a little old and that little wrapper was hard to peel off. But whatever, we were hungry. We then headed over to World Showcase. We exchanged our green cards for park hoppers and entered. I started walking on those little concrete slabs that surrounded the trees and plants.
Me: "Remember that one time when I was walking on these and I fell off?"
Mom: "No."
So, that convo didn't go to well, but there were several better ones that I can't remember. We eventually passed Japan and I went insane
Me: "OOOOHHH! LET'S GO TO JAPAN!!"
Mom: "We'll go to it later."
Dad: "Yeah, we have 5 days to do everything, so stop trying to do everything now."
Ok, I couldn't help it. I was excited. Sure, we're moving to Japan already but I LOVE Japan showcase.
We skipped ahead to Norway and rode Maelstrom, then we had to stop and hit the sweets. School bread and some other kind of pastry (I forgot the name) were downed. And from one yummy place, we went to the next. Mexico. Since no trip could be complete without El Rio de Teimpo, we rode that. Next, we skipped ahead to the American Adventure and had us some hotdogs, hamburgers, and chicken (no, we didn't each get a serving of all that stuff I just named. That would be too filling.) We walked over to Japan (more like speed walking with me) and I about died. I wanted to buy the whole store's worth of merchandise. I loved the Fruits Basket plushies. Shigure was the cutest plushie there. I left with a little black cat (Black-Wards off evil and bad luck or something like that. I just grabbed one in a hurry because they were all so cute and I couldn't decide.) And mom got a bigger version.

We called about our room and it still wasn't ready. It was about 10 or so. We just went on ahead through the UK and hung out a bit. Alice and Marry Poppins were in the toy store, but I didn't feel like having a picture taken. We rode the boat back over to Beach Club and we browsed the gift shop. They found out that I was right about the food in there. So I decided to get a chocolate gelato. I got the small, just enough to try it. Unfortunately, I didn't realize that the small was huge. And my parents went out into the lobby and I ended up eating it there and throwing it away fast before it melted all over the place. After about 30 min. to an hour later, our room was FINALLY ready and we headed up. Floor 4, room 4703. Man, those pillows were the bomb. As soon as dad got the luggage, we hung out and un-packed. My friend Olivia called me back and for about an hour, we ended up talking. Mostly about Kingdom Hearts. She really hates Kiari. That was kind of random..

So I talked until my minutes ran out and it was pool time. Stormalong Bay is awesome. We closely examined the sand at the bottom, which appeared to be rock salt. The pool time was over too soon and it was back to Epcot for wristbands (extra magic hours). We rode (in this order) Spaceship Earth, saw The Circle of Life, rode Living with the Land, Test Track and finally Soarin. An hour and 5 min. wait and it wasn't worth it. I mean, we saw Sorin' several times and got the best seats at the original California Adventure one, so we knew what was going to happen. To quote mom: "I just want to get this over with." So true. We did, my feet felt like they were going to fall off, and back to the room we went. I was in a zombie-looking state. Wide eyes, gaping mouth, weird walk. A little grey makeup and an added "Nngghhhhhhhhhh!!" would've completed the illusion.

 INTERMISSION!
Welcome the FIRST intermission! We were originally supposed to go to Animal Kingdom on the 2nd day, but we went to Magic Kingdom instead. No biggie. Speaking of Kingdoms, Kingdom Hearts 2 talk! Olivia HATES Kiari, Loves Sora, and just got a new PS2 and is stuck at the light cycle part in Space Paranoids. I told her what someone on game talk told me: "Just go through, try not to hit the walls, and constantly press the square button." We think Namine and Roxas rock.

Day 2: July 26th, 2006.
With my little pink notebook in my pocket and a weary smile, I was ready to go. After some blister-taking-care-of (not with me), we set off towards Magic Kingdom. I lost my previous notes on what we did, but I think we started by getting Space Mountain fast passes. I have it written down that we rode Pirates next. There was a very obnoxious family behind us in line. I will not talk about them bad except to say that they told their kid to go skip ahead of everyone and ride. And he did. And they laughed. Someone recorded the whole ride (with the light on their camera on) and mom didn't really get to enjoy the ride. But all was forgiven over tacos at that Pirates taco place (we nicknamed it the Pirate Taco Hole.) I have braces and I'm not supposed to have hard shelled tacos, but that's all they had and I couldn't resist. I know, I was bad. But no brackets came unglued, so everything was ok.

And then we rode everything in order that we saw them. Country Bears (Blood on the saddle, blood on the walls..), Haunted Mansion, Small World, Philharmonic, and then on to Space Mountain. We apparently left, went to the pool, went to Beaches 'n Cream, and returned to MK. I didn't write it down, but I think we rode Big Thunder Mountain and stuff. On the way back to the room that night, we spotted a fellow DISer. Hmm.. I might just tell you who it was... for Everest Fast passes! BWAHAHA. No, seriously, I might at the end of my Trip Report.

And that ends Part 1 of the magnificent Trip Report. I will post part 2 tomorrow in this thread so stay tuned!

thanks for your report. Sounds like you may be having a good time !!!! I love Soarin but only have the DW one to compare .....we went on it 9 times in May so yes it is my favorite. Thanks for taking the time to post this

sounds like you had a great time, welcome home!

Yes, it was lots of fun! I forgot to mention a few things, but here they are

Beaches and Cream does have really good burgers. The French dip sandwich is really good to (I stole a little bit from dad's to see if it was good or not).
Haunted Mansion had a really long standby wait
The center of the car on Space Mountain has the best and smoothest ride.
We were chosen an alarming number of times to be the "hold-the-little-red-card-till-the-end-of-the-line" family.
Now, I'll try and be more descriptive. I didn't get too descriptive about day two because someone by the name of dad was getting all huffy and puffy that I was still on the computer.
Now, Back to the show!!!

Day 4: July 27th, 2006
Awoke to room service. The Admiral’s meal thing. Dang, those Mickey waffles were good! And I thought the syrups and the ketchups were so cute in those little bottles.. Of course, I'm weird like that. And for once, I ate the bacon! I hardly EVER eat bacon! Yeah, didn't like the scrambled eggs too much though. And they gave us a mountain full of the stuff. It was take-a-dip time. This time, though, only dad and I went to the pool. Mom stayed behind and did her hair. We had reservations at Mama Melrose that night to go see Fantasmic.
After a nice hot shower and a nice use of my flat iron, I tried a piece of "Botan Rice Candy" that I bought previously at the Japan showcase. I'd read about it with the edible 2nd wrapper and thought "Dang, I have to try this stuff!" and so I finally did and found out that they were like taffy and I couldn't- no, SHOULDN'T eat them. But I ate one anyway, thinking "If none of my brackets have come off so far, none will now." And none did. It was very yummy. I thought I was eating an orange wrapped in plastic. Technically, I was eating orange flavored taffy wrapped in melt-away rice paper stuff. :teeth: I'm so bad. Anyway, we set sail for MGM on a FriendShip. We saw CM's who were supposed to be cleaning up the river on their little barge. I forgot what I called it, but it was catchy. The first thing we did when we got through the gate was laugh at dad's "Junior Security" sticker that was given to him after one of security guards who was checking his fanny pack decided he didn't have the right pins (all the fire depot. stuff, remember?)
Next, we ran over to a photographer and had our picture taken. It was one of the only professional pictures we had taken there. We made our way over to the Great Movie Ride, with nothing but about a 10 minute wait. We actually saw the alien in the Alien part of the ride. We never had before, out of all the times we've taken a ride on it. Mom was bubbly when she saw that they'd FINALLY updated the clips from different movies at the end of the ride (unless the updated it last October and we just forgot) and of course, Capt. Jack was included. :) Loved the clip from Chicago, since it is one of my fave movies. I'd probably like it on Broadway, too. We walked over by Youse Guys
to see Mater and Lightning. Since Lights, Motors, Action! Was starting in 5 minutes, we strolled over there.
So we walked up the very long stairway to seats at the top. Played along with the trivia, having a good time. Then, a big ugly rain cloud starts to loom overhead. I thought "Tut tut, looks like rain. CRAP!" Then, we heard Attention! The Lights, Motors, Action extreme stunt show has been delayed due to extreme electrical activity. We are sorry for any inconvenience. We are at a 10 minute stand-by. I was like, "Oh no, please don't let this end like December... please don't..." (Don't ask about the whole December thing. We're keeping it under wraps from someone that the whole trip was for).
And it did. 10 minutes later Attention! We are sorry to report that this showing of the Lights, Motors, and Action extreme stunt show has been cancelled. The storm has not passed and there is still too much electrical activity. We are sorry for any inconvenience. I was patting dad on the back, saying "I'm sorry.. sorry.." and he was like "Ok, whatever. Let's just wait for the mob to go." in his head, probably. And I was thinking "Who says electrical activity? Is it too hard to say lightning?" Mom was probably thinking "Ok, electrical activity. That was a freaking weird thing to say, now, let’s waits for this giant mob of people to die down some before we get up." Mom can correct me if I'm wrong. :)
It was nearly time for our reservations for Mama Melrose. We had dinner at an outrageous time. 4:00. Too early for dinner. But ok, for Fantasmic, sure. So we go see Muppet*Vision (I love that little star) and it really hits me. Everyone has been staring at me all day. I was like "Um, got hair envy? Come on, my hair looks good, but not THAT good. Take a picture, it'll last longer!"
After a good dose of the Swedish Chef (got to love the Swedish Chef!) we made the short trip to dinner. I sat down and two little kids kept kicking me. Ah, yes, the joy of 5 year old boys. Or were they younger? Who knows? Who cares? As we were escorted to a booth in the back of the restraunt, I was mentally preparing myself for a large 4 course meal. First came the bread and the drinks. While getting my order taken, a waiter saw my Pirate Mickey Ears pirate: and picked up a spoon, then hid his hand in his sleeve. "Arrgh, they call me Captain Spoon!" he yells. I'd gotten "ARRGGHHS!" all day, and had gotten used to it. This was a bit funny, though, so I managed a laugh before the "flatbread" arrived. Ick, 4 cheeses is not my cup of tea, I've had better. And out came the pasta. It was pretty good pasta. While devouring our deserts (I had vanilla "gelato", mom had some kind of chocolate cake, and dad had cheesecake. Apparently, it was a good cheesecake) The rents started talking to our waitress. They were talking about military stuff, dad said he was in the navy, waitress said husband is retired from it, good long chat. The food wasn't that good (Beaches and Cream RULES ALL!! Bwahaha) but it was filling, that's for sure.
Star Tours was next on the hit list. I was the only one who laughed at the jokes the CM made as we got on it. I have no idea why, but I love Star Tours. In the gift shop at the end, we found a Spud Trooper (they must've been out of Darth Taters, because I didn't see them anywhere) and some really funny T-Shirts. The best t-shirt there (funniest) had Leia on it and it said "Nice Buns" :lmao: We decided to head back to LMA! again to see if it would get canceled (we hoped not. If it got cancelled, Fantasmic would be cancelled and there would be a lot of yelling and asking for a refund). It didn't! Dad and I were enthralled. Mom was like "whatever. Ooh, I want a car that looks like you're driving backwards!"
We had a photo taken with Mickey Mouse in the Fantasmic getup. And that was the only picture that I'd taken with a character. Because Donald only appeared at Rope Drop at Animal Kingdom one morning. And he didn't stay, either. Voyage of the Little Mermaid was next. I never thought I'd see a single emo kid there. But I did. The long, black pants. I stared at them for a second before heading into the show. I got absolutely SOAKED in there. I never remember getting that wet during the show before. I ducked each time the sprinklers went off and hid under my Mickey ears. On the way over to the gift shop with the best Nightmare before Christmas stuff, I stared at those pants AGAIN. I shook my head and wondered how he survived to mondo-hot day in those things. But this time, his girlfriend caught me and gave me the look of death. So I go "Ok, let's get out of here before she kills me. Move it, move it, move it!" Instead of my normal Nightmare before Christmas stuff (and since their stock of it had diminished due to Pirates of the Caribbean) I bought a shirt that said "You don't know Jack Sparrow."
Back to the front of the park we went to get to Fantasmic. I saw the stuff that they don't really want you to see. Ish. Some generators and stuff is what it looked like. We sent dad to get some drinks and nabbed some seats. It was a long time before Dad returned. When he finally did, the wave started up again. And again. I probably did the wave 15 times and couldn't do it anymore. It finally started and dad tried to record the whole thing. He almost did, to. Except for the fact that he kept hitting the picture button (on the video camera, too).
As we finally got on the FriendShip back to the room, I was freaking out. Looking at the water, I was afraid that I was going to wet myself. I practically ran back to the room to keep it from happening. We had a little midnight snack and I got sick. At about 1:00 AM when I got up to use the bathroom again, I was feeling a bit better. When I came out, mom scared the crap out of me and I let out a little weird yell. I was okay the next morning.

 In-Tuh-Miss-On!
It's surprising that I can DO an intermission now, whatever. More like the little authors notes columns in Fruits Basket where they talk about all the video games they play. KHII TALK! Though I've beaten Kingdom Hearts 2, I want to do the last battles again. Good thing I have my last save still!

Day 4: July 28th, 2006
I awoke, of course, reluctantly. I mean, do I EVER wake up and go "Ooh! It's such a beautiful day! Rise and shine! La la la." Um, NO. So we crammed into the car with my new Jack shirt and my pirate ears. We noticed the small size of the parking lot and said "Thank Gaaaaaah" about that. We also noticed a little flat part on Everest. Uh, that's not supposed to stick out. Ho hum, oh well. We strolled right into the 1 min. mark till Rope Drop. The crowd was wild and HUGE. As soon as the rope dropped and we got moving, I got hit by a wheelchair. "Oww.. owww. Owwwwwww" "Oh, Sorry!" I stayed silent. I made sure I wasn't bleeding, and mumbled a nearly inaudible "It's ok". We saw the already hour long line for Everest and headed straight for Fast pass line. Dad and I left mom to get the fast passes while we watched the speeding train like vehicle. It goes too fast. After we secured fast passes, we stood in line for Kali River Rapids. It hadn't even opened up yet. As soon as it opened, the line was shortened to about a 10 min.-15 min. wait.
We sat aboard our little raft, being told to keep our shoes on. And we finally set off down the river. There were two girls next to mom and I who got soaked by a little burst of water. After we went down a hill, I met the same fate. But I was wearing my board shorts, so nothing too soaking happened. After the ride, we went back up to the front to get a VMK paper stamped with the word "KALI". We sat and waited and watched the ducks after that. Our fast passes were good in 15 minutes. Finally, it was time.
A 5 minute wait and we were on. I looked worried until we started. Then I was all like "DANG! THIS IS GONNA BE SO COOL!" Mom and I talked about how boring the beginning is. Then, we started the hill climb.
Mom: "Don't look down." (I look down
Me: "GAH!"
Mom: "I told you not to look!"
As we reached the bent up track, my last thought was "Oh crap, here we go." Backwards we fell. Loud screams echoed through the dark mountain. I could see under the track. We could see the track switch when we stopped. As we plunged down the drop, I smiled for the camera. About half way down, I could finally un-smile. I tried to scream like I wanted to, and I succeeded. A little. It came out all broken up. 2 minutes later, the ride was over. What a ride it was! I wanted the "Scream like a girl" t-shirt from the gift shop, but we bought the picture instead.
We ate at Pizzafari afterward. The pizza was good. I dropped a crust on the floor while examining the taste of the sauce. Little did I know that the crust would come back to haunt me. As I was trying to figure out what was so familiar about the ultra-yum sauce, A CM came by, picked up the crust, and gave us a mega dirty look. I had forgotten that it was sitting there.
The rents wanted to get out of Animal Kingdom fast. They said "It's too humid! It's too hot!" and I say "Oh, please. It was hotter at MGM and more humid, too!

Ok, well, there is a storm going on, so I’ll have Day 4 (part 2) and day 5 up when it's over.
