Saturday September 22nd - Day 9
Today we allowed ourselves to sleep late. After breakfast at Pop (chocolate chip pancakes as recommended by Natalie) we headed out for the final surprise i'd planned for DBF, paragliding. After getting confused by the road signs we drove into the Contempory Resort where the security guard thought he was a comedian. Made our way down to the dock and checked in. Three other people would be paragliding with us, one tandam like us and a single. We were the last to go up, I was quite nervous as I don't like heights and the boat seemed to be going very fast, I thought I might get thrown out of the boat. After each person came back down they said how good it was so I began to feel better. Mike and I got strapped in and then we were away. It was so peaceful up there, you felt like you were floating and got a great view of the area. I absolutely loved it and would recommend it to anyone although it is quite pricey.
When we got back to dry land we had a look around the hotel then headed over to the broadwalk to look around there and to have lunch at ESPN. We rented a bike and did a lap but I couldn't really reach the pedals without sitting in a very strange position so Mike did most of the work.
Next we went to play mini golf which was a lot of fun. No doubt DBF won but he probably cheated.
Next stop Pop for a quick change before we headed to the Poly for our ADR at Ohana. If anyone has not eaten here I would strongly recommend it. The food was lovely and plentiful plus in my opinion an absolute bargain with all soft drinks included and just alcohol on top, I had a blue glow-tini, boy did it have a kick to it.
After we could eat no more we had a wander round the hotel. I think if we can afford it this is where i'd like to stay the next time we go to Florida. We walked along the beach and went to what I presumed was Sunset Point where big hints were dropped about a Disney wedding. We walked back and sat on a chair swing and just chilled out for a bit.
We finished off the day by going over to DownTown Disney and visiting the Comedy Warehouse which I just love, I think we went to two shows then back to Pop and into bed.
Tomorrow:Wet wet wet at IOA
